Tip: The short ribs are awesome!…read more I was introduced to Wild Fork through a Yelp community event. I loved what I had sampled that I made a purchase and enjoyed what I got. This store is in a plaza with tons of parking. I backed into a parking spot fairly close to the store. I noticed a tent across from the store. The tent had food samples. Yay! I sampled the following items: - Korean beef short ribs - Jerk chicken wings - Garlic bread - Bourbon garlic bison sausage My favourites were the short ribs and garlic bread. The former had a mild spice kick to them. I loved the marinade and flavour. The beef was tender. I loved them so much that I got William from Wild Fork to point me to the aisle where I could buy them. The latter had a generous smear of butter and garlic. It was excellent. The jerk chicken wings were yummy. The problem was that a couple of wings that I had were undercooked. I saw a bit of blood, so I stopped eating them. At first, I felt that the sausage was dry and needed more fat. I then realized that I was eating bison, which is lean. It made sense why it seemed dry for a sausage. It wasn't gamey. I couldn't taste the bourbon, but I did taste the garlic. The store has wide aisles. This store is bright and inviting. Wild Fork blast-freezes all their meats. They are then packaged such that the seasoning gets into the meat. Yumminess ensues when you thaw and prepare them. This place also sells mini lime and vanilla cheesecakes. I had the lime first. It had a subtle lime flavour in the cheesecake filling. I didn't like the graham cracker crust. It was too crumbly and dry. It needed more butter to have the crust stay intact. I brought the vanilla home. Same issue with the base. The cheesecake part was good, but I didn't taste the vanilla. I paid for my short ribs at the checkout. I paid with a MasterCard. I tapped and was done. I pan-fried the Korean short ribs at home. It was easy and it took little time, roughly three minutes on each side over medium heat. They were thin, but meaty and delicious! I need to return to get more. It's a cool store. I wish it were closer to home, but at least it's not too far away from work to grab what I need here. (326)

I generally like this store. They carry lots of vegan products for my liking and my family likes…read moretheir fresh meat section. They do sometimes run out of their meat items but last time they made fresh Burger patties for me while I waited. The croissants are nice but have already gone up in price since they opened just a couple of months ago. The hot table has tasty items but they don't seem to change the variety very often and it's usually sold out and not replenished towards the last 2 hours that they are open. They do not carry everything that bigger stores carry and this is frustrating as I often have to go to another store after shopping here. Staff are friendly and store is clean and eating area/patio are tidy.

There's a small lot just West of the store OR parking garage just located kiddie corner to the store, attached to the small lot. First, I'm not 100% sold on Farm Boy - maybe it's because it was purchased by Sobey's and I do not get the comparison to Trader Joe's...of which I'm a HUGE fan of. (Personally, a better comparison would be Whole Foods with more emphasis on produce.) However, this area desperately NEEDED a grocery store especially with all the new Brightwater community which is partially built already. This particular store is maybe 1/4 of the size of the Etobicoke location and definitely smaller than the Oakville one. It's fairly small, but I think it carries all the essentials. And there are some cheaper items, namely the bakery stuff, which brings in the customers. I must say that Hot Bar looked REALLY good and fresh! I hope there are enough customers to keep the turnover rate up. This area also NEEDS prepared/to-go food with the demographics there. Overall, this Farm Boy offers a nicer grocery shopping experience. Only time will tell whether or not they continue to do well! P.S. They don't sell any beer/wine at this location, BUT...they're opening up an LCBO at the other end of the plaza.

I sent an online request for a turkey for Christmas. Specifically, I wanted a fresh turkey,…read morecleaned, unstuffed, seasoned and ready for the oven. Someone messaged with me back and forth and confirmed they could do it and confirmed the date and time. Their price was $5.99/lb which was better than a couple of other stores that I called. On the pickup day I sent my hubby and since I was never given an order number there was some delay and issues locating my turkey. Once I forwarded all my emails then they knew where to look and they found my turkey. Suggestion to always give an order number to customers. The turkey cooked well and everyone loved it. Since I don't eat meat I appreciate the ease of store to oven to table with no mess/fuss for me:))

It's a little bit of a hidden gem considering they get some snacks and brands you wouldnt expect like Kawartha ice cream in a ton of flavours, daiya non-dairy products, 7D dried mango slices, etc. (They're all random but make the place so much better haha). The fresh baked stuff is always great especially these Boston cream-esque donuts they have which are to die for. My favourite is definitely the pizza dough although they come frozen solid so plan to only be able to make anything the next day. That pizza is so light and perfect after it's rested enough. All in all it's a great place to grab a quick few things or any specialty things you might need. (They don't have coconut milk which kind of sucks--once again, kind of random lol) I wouldn't get too much from there though because they are a little pricey.
