A true five star dining experience. Being from Southern California I am used to some of the best sushi ever. After two weeks in Europe my daughter and I were tired of heavy food and had a serious craving for sushi. We were staying at the Prince de Galles hotel and the concierge recommended Akira back, I was a little hesitant because I thought maybe he was pushing the restaurant at the hotel. But I had good luck with the concierges recommendations so I thought why not give it a try. It was great! Upon further research I learned that there are many locations all around the world. And one of my favorite restaurants in Las Vegas in the bellagio hotel, yellowtail, is amazing and a sister restaurant, same chef. My favorite items were the AB tuna pizza, yellowtail sashimi, and the rock shrimp tempura. I would definitely recommend akira back if you are visiting Paris. Great experience from start to finish. From the hostesses to the waitstaff, all of the staff are so friendly! We started with Gin & Ginger cocktails, which were delicious. Everything we ate was perfect.. flavors & textures were so well balanced! It's not a cheap dining experience, but I would highly recommend it for a special occasion. So this is an ABSOLUTE must try while in Paris!!! I can't say enough about how great the food is!!! If you love or like Japanese food this is a great fusion restaurant!!!!! Booked a reservation for four for 7:30pm we were seated immediately. The ambiance is great medium energy with a Dj spinning tunes to set the vibe. We were greeted by super friendly French staff, given drink and cocktail menus. We couldn't decide on what we wanted and asked the sever for suggestions. Great job with a delicious Sake and other drinks!! So the menu has cold items and hot items designed to be shared, as well as main entrees, salads, soups, rice and some special rolls. We ordered a tons of food and just kept it coming because the four of us just loved it! I actually think I had one of the best things that I've ever eaten in my life at this restaurant! The truffle Langostines with the caviar, foam and truffles we're probably one of the best things that I've ever eaten my life!!! Seriously I think we ordered three of those maybe four. We had both versions of the tacos beef bulgogi and the poke soooo darn good! White fish carpaccio, yellowtail, lobster tempura ( two or three), veggie fried rice, crab hand rolls, scallops on half shell, sushi with pop rocks, dessert chocolate ina cup. OMG so good!!!
