9/7/2016 - Dinner Review
Great restaurant on busy Calle Betances. This restaurant is within walking distance of the Funeraria Martell, where our family had been at my grandmother's viewing. We were the only table at this time. The young lady serving us was very nice and explained some of the dishes to us. I ordered "surullos" (fried corn meal) with mayo-ketchup. They give you plenty of them so you can share. To drink we ordered Kola Champagne, and passion fruit juice.
We ordered the mofongo with shrimp criolla style, canastas de camarones, and trocitos de pescado with tostones. It took longer than expected (like over 25 minutes) but when the food arrived, you knew it was fresh.
Unfortunately, it took too long to get our food and we had to pack the rest. It was good later at night though. read more
