Karen is both highly skilled and extremely creative. This combination yields fantastic results. Whenever I give Karen a project, she takes my ideas to new heights. Whether she is working on my videos, editing, or graphic art, she always exceeds my expectations. She also works at lightening speed, not because I ask her to, but because it's her nature. She also happens to be a very wise and grounded woman. She is passionate about her work. I highly recommend her. read more

Karen was a delight to work with. Great communicator and responsive. Highly recommend. She's an entertainer herself so knows how to capture key moments on film. For my project, Karen captured my daughter's All-Star Softball tournament, including my daughter's pitching performance. Lots of different angles of the sports action. I will forever cherish this footage of my daughter. She added a nice sound track too! Thanks Karen! read more

I was looking for someone to build a Portfolio Website for my engineering business. Most companies that provide this service have a staff of employees which I was not interested in. I was looking for a one on one relationship that could address my needs and wants with one person to do the job. I feel lucky to have found Karen who has a ton of experience and can do it all. She took my layout, added some great additions, and within a few short days, created my website and got it online at a very reasonable cost. Now I'm working with her on a product video that she will be shooting. She's a One Stop Shop! Thanks Karen... read more

Karen delivered above and beyond service shooting my wedding in Foresthill! A family member loved it so much that she watched the video five times because every time she noticed a new lovely detail. My mom also insists on showing the footage to everyone that visits. Leading up to the rehearsal and wedding, Karen was always professional and responsive. On the wedding weekend, she worked tirelessly but with grace among the photographers and guests to capture footage that she then edited into a beautiful extended documentary style trailer. The turnaround time for the edited footage was so quick that my husband and I were able to relive our wedding many times over in the week following the event. Needless to say, Karen captured footage that my family and I will cherish for a lifetime! I highly recommend her for anyone in need of videography services. read more

Karen did a 4-camera video shoot for my band in a local club. Despite the challenges (low-light, high sound pressure, a packed dance floor), she delivered an awesome high quality medley video that we've been using to successfully demo and secure more gigs. And turnaround from shoot date to final delivery was very, very quick. Pro work. Great price. And she's a real pleasure to work with. Highly reccomended! read more

Karen...AGAIN...I can't thank you enough for your professionalism, creativity, patience and persistence to get the Gundacker Project 'Plug Me In' music video project done and at the budget we set. I appreciate your tireless determination and effort from my story boarding to the shoot to the edit in what amounted to being an amazing turn around time. You did all this with pin point accuracy and care as if it was your own. I also appreciate you consulting with me on the phone after the dailys, rough edit presentation and then allowing me to sit by your side during the final editing process. Not many would allow such but you did it without hesitation and I will always appreciate that. I would recommend you and Tribute Video Productions to anyone, anytime be for a music video or other type of shoot. A class act all around. Thank you and much appreciation. Timothy J. Karen Alvarez recorded and prepared a video of my horseback wedding on Mt. Diablo, and the subsequent reception farther down the mountain. Working with her was a sheer pleasure from beginning to end. She volunteered to come look at the site in advance, made excellent suggestions for moments we might wish to record--and went out of her way to get them, and then put them together into several drop-dead gorgeous videos for us to share with our out of town friends and relatives. One of the best shots, my wife and I riding up a snaking path on the hill into the sunrise, was her inspiration. It's an image that perfectly encapsulates the whole wedding. The style of videography she used for the occasion--dynamic, with a documentary slant, worked perfectly for a horseback wedding. It's such a difference having shots from different angles flowing together, overlaid with the music of our choice, than the usual amateur-dad-holding-a-video-recorded I'm used to for events. I think people who are not intimately involved with the wedding will actually enjoy watching it. Karen was organized and on top of getting the music, the photos, and all the different angles of the horses that came together so well. (Also: she's got a lot of experience videoing horses, and knows how to do so so that they look good!) Finally, as if all this weren't enough... the night after the wedding, she STAYED UP ALL NIGHT to put together a rough cut of the wedding and of our engagement and vows. I did not in any way ask for this (in fact, I told her not to worry about having it for the next-day reception), and she did it anyway. So many people at the reception came up to congratulate us and to say what a beautiful ceremony it had been. This was a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend Karen Alvarez if you're looking for a videographer. read more

No words can describe the quality and consideration that Karen puts into her work. As an admittedly difficult to please customer, I am completely satisfied. Beyond satisfied. Karen does video taping for many high school sports as well as private events. Everything I have seen has been top notch. The quality DVD's Karen made of my son made the difference, and he was invited into the college lacrosse program of his choice. Whatever your memory making needs are, check in with Tribute. You'll be glad you did. Memorable moments (wedding, reunions, graduations) only happen once. I wouldn't trust my precious moments to any one else. read more

Karen Alvarez and crew shot the video for B*Dazzled Dancers annual recital and what an amazing job she did! After 5 years of being completely disappointed trying different videographers, we have finally found a great one. She is the most detailed, professional, personable videographer I have yet to meet. Karen has kept me in the loop throughout the whole process, her communication skills are exceptional. The wonderful quality of video and the edits with her camera angles just top off this fabulous experience. I look forward to the many years of working with Karen and AKA Media Group. If you are in need of a videographer, I highly recommend using AKA Media Group as you will not be disappointed. read more

Karen did an amazing tribute for my late brother Joey from Y & T. She didn't have much to work with either! Some of the photos I gave her were in bad shape, I had found them in a bag getting moldy. But somehow, she was able to bring these photos to life. The music playing absolutely fit the photos. It was so touching and professional, I really was blown away by the presentation and how caring she was. She captured the true person, not just the person people saw on stage performing. She worked so hard to make sure that everything was perfect, and it was! read more

Karen has done quite a few projects for me and each and every time she knocked it out of the park! Everything from transferring, and editing old home movies, to special occasion slideshows, to a "just for fun" video for a family member. She's creative, quick thinking, detailed and it is evident that she truly loves what she does. She is extremely easy to work and when working with her, she will make you feel as if you are the most important client ever! Her turnaround is unheard of in this day an age. Karen saved our butts when we needed a highlight video of our son for college recruiting. We hadn't been good about recording his games because we enjoy watching too much. So she had to work with not the greatest footage off of youtube that other parents had recorded. Somehow she made it work! She was super easy to communicate and work with. She was ultra patient with us and completed the video really quickly. Thanks again Karen! I've attached the link if you want to see the finished product. Holy smokes this woman delivers! I asked Karen, last minute, to shoot a video for my wedding and she not only squeezed me in after a full day of work, but she brought a second shooter with a drone! She stayed up late that same night editing so she could send me the video of the ceremony from 5 different camera angles the next day along with highlights from the whole day. Karen goes a step (or 2) above your expectations. Best of all, she has a refreshing sense of humor and is fun to work with. She was so wonderful we used her again for a kickstarter video! She is literally also a rockstar! read more

Karen is the best!! I contacted her maybe a month out from my wedding (perhaps less!) and she was immediately on the ball. She's extremely detailed and punctual. As a bride, you have a MILLION things going on in your brain. Karen made almost everything a no brainer for me, which I REALLY appreciated. She asked all the exact questions needed and took charge to create the best wedding video. Seeing her immediate work ethic was a huge stress relief for me because I knew I could could count on her! I knew I could trust her with her work and didn't need to feel paranoid or like I needed to " check in" on anything (as most brides feel about practically everything). She's amazing. I actually didn't even meet Karen until the day of my wedding! But as soon as I saw her working in action I knew she was the right woman for the job. She's a great business woman and on the job I saw her creativity really shine and I loved it!! I also LOVED that she was not shy about asking the Bridal party to reenact certain things or pose in ways that she knew would look great for film. She even helped the photographer with some picture arrangements! I LOVE it when a person in their industry is not only excellent but confident and not shy about suggesting things that they know will work great. Because Heaven knows the bride wants everything to be perfect but does not have the brain power to execute much, haha! She needs people who are on the ball like Karen. THANK YOU!!!!! A++++ And now 3 months after the wedding I can say, Karen CONTINUES to be amazing. I have heard horror stories of videographers holding your film from months to years or not hearing from them after giving them the check. Karen had SUCH a fast turn around that, I kid you not, the DAY AFTER our wedding, we already had a draft of the highlight reel to watch. My husband and I were in London at that point and overjoyed in tears to see our wedding highlights so soon! Timing really is everything for special occasions and Karen is just a 10 out of 10. Anyway, I could say many more things but the best thing I can say is that you will not regret hiring Karen for the job!!!! She's the best! read more
