I enjoy researching and since my 10 year plus stylist moved out of town, I researched my heart out to find a new one. My first choice was a fail. Actually, Grey Salon Studio was my first choice but the other salon I tried first was recommended, so I gave it a shot. Cut was fine but color was dark on top and light on bottom. Kind of like an ombre but without the fade. By the time I got in to see Veronica at Grey Salon Studio, my color had lightened a bit but still wasn't right. Veronica fixed it, easily and beautifully. And gave me a terrific cut with much needed body and a more current style. BTW, I am horrible at styling my hair. Since Veronica couldn't blow dry and style me (Covid-19 precautions), I went home and did it myself. I was surprised how easy and great looking it came out! Testament to her skills.

I moved to Colorado in August 2013 from North Carolina, where I had the same hairdresser my entire life (14+ years). I have never been very picky about my hair because it grows so fast, but I wanted to find someone I could trust to do it for me. Carmelina is honest; if she thinks your cut/color idea isn't going to work for you, she'll tell you so in a heartbeat. She's passionate about what she does and incredibly technical. She always wants the final product to be the best product. She once re-shampoo'd my hair because she wasn't happy with how it was moving. She's personable, easy to talk to, and incredibly sassy. The first time I got my hair cut here, she mentioned as she was cutting that it would look beautiful with highlights and started explaining the different colors she would use, etc. She was just thinking out loud, but I liked the sound of it so much, I said what the heck. The final product was beautiful and nuanced. I just cut four inches off of my hair and had summertime highlights put in this weekend. At this point, I basically just bring in a photo for her to see what shape I'm going for and leave the rest to her. She's a master, so I figure I should just let a master work. She always seems to be having so much fun. I'm glad I found Carmelina!

We arrived promptly at the appt time and had a seat after checking in. After waiting 15 minutes I went up to see an ETA. I was told "not much longer". After 30 minutes, I checked again only to find out her stylist wasn't EVEN there! What! Why didn't they tell us? :( However, Gary, the master stylist came to her rescue like the knight in shining armor that he is. After apologizing for the wait he offered to cut her hair. He took the time to listen to her requests, engaged in wonderful conversation, gave a great head and neck massage, AHHHHHMAZING cut and blow dry. She came out sparkling and like a brand new teenager! As I went to make a new appointment, the website required me to choose a "finishing" option. For them to NOT blow dry my hair ("no blow dry") they are charging a $10 fee. Are you actually insane? Service providers used to offer a blow dry and style for no cost. Now for me to walk out of the appointment with wet hair, I have to pay you??? You're truly delusional and I would advise anyone to seek out another salon option.
