Matthew came and looked at it and recommended a pressure treated fence to match the rest of the deck. He looked closely at it, took pictures and did an absolutely beautiful job. Previous renovations (done by another local contractor/ builder) were shoddy and allowed for major water damage that was hidden from me when I bought the house, but became apparent shortly after we started living in the house. HandyMan demo-d and removed all the water damaged flooring and sub-floor, redid the sub-floor with proper moisture barrier and heat insulation, and demo-d and and rebuilt two bathrooms in about two months. They started and finished exactly on time, and the bathrooms look amazing. Ian and Evan display high quality workmanship (flooring and tiling) and a professional, kind attitude. I also had a great experience working with the new design point-person, Petra. She was indispensable in helping me design the bathroom of my dreams, and took many trips all around the area to find the right materials and paint colors. I am thrilled with the final product and now have two perfect bathrooms, beautiful flooring that will withstand all the weather ups and downs, and a new laundry room. This is the second project performed by owner John Markowski and his partner Bob. We purchased Harvey Windows from Curtis Lumber which John did all the measuring and ordering; including some upgrades. They removed the siding to add flashing since flashing had not been installed when the house was built in 1992. They also built and painted the casings, aprons, and sills. Their craftmanship was outstanding. John gave us recommendations as to where to purchase new shutters that he hung as well. Both John and Bob are very trustworthy which was important since they were in almost every part of our home. They cleaned inside and outside at the end of each day. John estimated ten days to complete and they finished in nine. The final cost was almost the same amount as the quote we received from a local Windows & Doors company. I would not hesitate to hire Dream Builders & Remodeling in the future.

They had been recommended through our main contract with Kitchen and Bath (kiba) Studios of Clifton Park. I'm reviewing Dream Builders & Remodeling separately because of how pleased we are with the outstanding work they performed. Owner John and his assistant demonstrated exceptional skills whether working with tiling, plumbing, or woodworking. Because we needed extensive electrical work to be done John arranged for a subcontractor to do that work. John made some suggestions early on in our project that not only addressed the aesthetics of a room but also improved its functioning. He and his assistant always arrived to work at the scheduled time and put in a full day's work. They made every effort to protect the areas they needed to pass through by using floor and stair coverings. They were very pleasant and courteous individuals who respected our home and did not blast radios or swear while working. We were so pleased with the quality of their work that during a period of downtime while we waited for a cabinet to replace one that had arrived damaged, we entered a direct contract with John to upgrade the trim around the windows of three bedrooms and to paint the walls and ceilings of those bedrooms. There is no doubt that we will be contacting John at Dream Builders & Remodeling again when we identify another project to be undertaken.
