I have been told that they should only be left on for no more than 50 miles. I used that same temporary spare a few years ago and that time I towed it over a hundred miles. Back to my recent event, it was almost 5 and was concerned that I would not be able to get my tire in the shop before closing. The guys in the tire shop took my tire in, pulled the nail out and patched in about 15 minutes. Not only that but he offered to put it on my car. While he was doing that I wandered in the office and paid. $7.00 for everything. Hard to beat; fast, efficient and cheap. I can attest that at least the dedicated flat fixing bay guys are good. There were 2 or 3 ahead of me and they were in and out quickly, too. Kind of a chaotic scene out front near closing time but they got my tire fixed and on my car in under a half hour. When I came back because of the engine light still being on they said I needed the air sensors. I didn't have the money to replace then and the counter guy said there not a problem not real important. 2 days later my radiation leak all my antifreeze and they said we didn't do anything thing to it but they did. They said they held my car longer to stop a leak. This place is super busy and doesn't take their time analyzing and showing you what is completely needed. I've been there with three different cars now but, no more it costs me more return time and money all the time.

Be careful with this business!…read more I went to this place with my vehicle after receiving a postcard offering a generous discount. I waited while they performed an oil change and alignment. It wasn't a long process. They provided me with a detailed list of parts that needed replacement, totaling $5,000. I was told that my battery was bad, and I needed new spark plugs and new front brakes. I was very concerned about the long list of expensive work that they said needed to be done, but my vehicle was driving just fine. I checked the battery, and it passed the test. I also decided to stop by O'Reilly Auto Parts to check the battery there, and it was working well and still functioning fine! After getting quotes from various mechanics, I decided to go with 210 Family Mobile Mechanics, who replaced the spark plugs and front brakes, which could probably last another 50,000 miles. The spark plugs and brakes looked just fine and there was no need to replace them, they could have lasted another 40-50,000 miles easily. I am writing this review to make people aware of their tactics to worry you and make you spend a bunch of money just for the purpose of taking your money for replacing parts that don't need replacing.

I…read morejust bought the truck used last month, and didn't have a spare yet, so I figured I could just pull the wheel off and roll it to a tire shop to have a new tire mounted on it. Unfortunately for me, I hadn't noticed the wheel locks on the lug and subsequently that there was no key in the pickup when I got it. I walked to the closer large chain tire store and asked if they could help me out, and their answer was a firm no. The wheel locks could not be removed. So I walked on down FM-78 until reaching this little tire shop nestled between two mechanics on FM-78 near Converse. I explained my situation and the owner assured me if I could get my truck there, they could break the wheel locks off. I had it towed, and sure enough, they had the first lock broken off in no time. The owner inspected my other tires and found they were all old and in desperate need of replacement. He gave me several options on used tires he had in stock to meet my needs and get me back on the road. No pushy sales tactics or guilt trips like at that major chain I mentioned. Just solid advice, and I went with a more than fair offer on four good quality used tires. $100 a piece. No charge for labor, mounting, or balancing, and they threw in new wheel locks. The new tires were mounted on my rims, and I was back on the road in under an hour. I will definitely be going back when it's time for a fresh set and a spare to show my appreciation!
