We really rented a car to visit the Mendenhall Glacier but once that beauty was seen, off to the world's smallest Costco side quest for lunch!! What's different here: - No gas/fuel center - No rotisserie chicken - No in-house bakery. They have baked goods, but from an outside bakery and selection is small. - No pizza in the food court. They have mostly everything else food-wise - we got the usual $1.50 hot dog combo. The food court is inside, and there's a small covered seating area outside. Besides the compactness and difference noted above, seems to me just like a regular Costco. The samples here are tasty and the same friendly staff. The outside backdrop is beautiful (just like the Costco in Bend, Oregon!). I wouldn't go out of my way to come here but will indulge him in Costco tourism for novelty reasons since we already had the car.

(This car's alternator dumped on me within 6 months of driving it off the lot and it has always had battery drain issues so I was paranoid.) The guys at Alaska Auto Repait quickly figured out the issue and charged it up at no cost without any mocking (I was doing that for myself plenty enough). They sure made this dumb girl in distress feel a lot better and they didn't even bat an eye. I will alwaslys recommend them for their kindness and great service, which has been my experience with them two other times when I have brought it in for repairs.
