With an existing store at Stoneleigh Park and a butchers in Kenilworth, this new venture, just three weeks old at the time of writing this review, is brilliant and worth the journey. The shop is stocked full of high quality local produce, most of which is from the West Midlands region - jams, chutnies, breads, meets, treats, local ales and beers - the list goes on. The cafe space is lovely with a mix of white tables, chairs and sofa seating, with open glassy and light decor, fun signs and an area with toadstool tables and seats for little children. There's also a cookery theatre at Farmers Fayre where there are cookery demonstrations. Added to this, free wifi courtesy of Leekes, this is a great place to chill out after shopping in the huge Leekes store. At the heart of this, the helpful and friendly staff at Farmers Fayre know what they're doing and are there to ensure each customer has a good experience. I wish these guys the best of luck as I only see them growing from strength to strength.

My tip, try the bags of 'Paneer' in the fridge section, on your right when you walk in (past the big bags of onions....) at £3.99. Fry into a tomato curry, just delightful and beats takeaway food. I find I always fill my trolley shopping in here. The prices ARE THE BEST THAT YOU CAN GET! They close early on Wednesdays and only the far till on your right accepts debit cards. They even have free asian newspapers for you to take away, if you can read them. From tea to Indian snacks and savouries to cereals, these are some of the things you can buy from this supermarket. This is an excellent store for the locals and those living in Birmingham. To top it all off, the staff are top class here and they will help you out. If you do need guidance on any of the products at this supermarket, they will be there. There is car parking on-site and parking will be free for an hour. After that you will be charged £1 for every hour.

Much of this high opinion of the House comes from those staggering home from Fab - the guild's weekly clubnight which goes down every Saturday night. Therefore, if there's not much on your telly and you're in need of a laugh, your best bet would be to sit outside Rooster House from around midnight on a Sunday morning and watch the train wrecks come and go. I imagine that Rooster House does the majority of its business during these fraught and hilarious hours of the night and it's almost impossible to not get sucked in. I find the chips to be pretty good, but the hot wings are the real winner here. You could always get a pizza, but if you do then you're completely missing the point. The hint as to what Rooster House nails is in the name, dummy!

I've been a number of times since that first dinner, having returned in the day with my dog, as it's dog friendly if you're happy to sit outside - they even bring a bowl of water for our four legged friends! I've had lunch there, and the most fabulous afternoon cream tea, and cake, whilst the choice is limited, what they offer is very tasty (and I'm a fan of cake!) I loved it that much the first night, that I've refused to go there for a meal again, as I'm going for my 40th, which happens to fall on a Thursday, and looking forward to sharing the experience with close friends. The service is always friendly. It's not always super fast, as it runs on Kenyan time, so this isn't the place to go in a rush. Indeed, why would you? I glance at the specials board whenever I pass and there are some tasty looking quiches with interesting food combinations on offer that change on a daily basis. If you have time to while away and you aren't that bothered about quick service, this charming looking French cafe has some original dishes that you won't find elsewhere.

The staff were amazingly polite and attentive, telling us how long the wait would be before ordering and the staff kept coming over to keep us updated and apologise for the wait when there was absolutely no need for apologies, but it was fantastic service, absolutely five star service. I've been to michelin rated restaurants and had much worse services! I bought two cappuccinos (sorry I have to correct myself here and say "cappuccini"!) and two of the small english breakfasts. At £1.49 per large Lavazza cappuccino and £3.20 per breakfast, this came to under a tenner on a Easter Sunday for two to eat out in a lovely cafe with a brilliant atmosphere - and free WiFi!? Unfortunately did not bring my phone to test this! The small breakfasts consisted of 2 slices of white buttered bread , bacon, sausage, tomato, fried egg, Heinz baked five beans and mushrooms. Unfortunately they ran out of mushrooms (I didn't even expect any!) so we were offered to double up another part of the breakfast as an alternative to mushrooms. As I don't eat beans, I asked if my partner could have my serving (And they did give him two gigantic servings of beans :0) and we both got extra egg in place of mushrooms! We were not rushed at all and really enjoyed our leisurely breakfast. For the price we're already planning to go back and this time try some of the freshly squeezed orange juice or milkshakes...!
