open for one weekend to the public at very reasonable prices for adults and free for under 16s, you can definitely see why this airshow has become so famous.
spending one year in paris, france and the other year in farnborough, people travel from all over the world, whether they be aircraft enthusiats, people looking to buy, or just curious spectators such as myself.
the weather was gorgeous, the entertainment was AMAZING.
with aircraft of all sorts including the extremely famous Red Arrows, there is no way to get bored. also includes helicopters in the show.
this year, 2008, the new Airbus was introduced and to see it fly was phenominal, i cant wait to travel to france to see it next year.
the organisers did a great job. residents need permits to park on their roads and the public carparks. which held 21,000 cars on the sunday and 17,000 on the saturday, yes a policeman told me, are about a 15min walk from the airshow entrance.
free buses are available to get but walking is easier.
