My wife Jerica and I recently took an airboat ride with Captain Shawn and it was awesome! He made us feel like old friends, and he was excited to take us on our adventure. He was knowledgable, funny, and answered each question we had along the way. Thanks Captain Shawn!

Our party ended up being 20 of us and we were able to share a unique link for purchasing tickets so our party was all linked together as one party. When we first boarded, there really wasn't any direction as to what to do or what we could do so we just sat down at our table and waited for someone. We weren't sure if we could or should go to the bar to order drinks or if we could walk around before dinner. It took a while (10+ minutes) for anyone to approach our table.) Once someone approached our table we ordered drinks and then walked around the boat. We went to the top deck to take some photos and watch the sunset before dinner started. Once dinner started we were able to go the buffet as munch as we wished. Since it was Italian night they had all Italian dishes, none of the dishes really stood out but nothing was bad. It was good, but not like wow! While eating they started pouring our wine samples. We got two red and two white samples and a sommelier talked us through each sample. After the first two samples they gave us a break to walk around, go to the bathroom, etc. I would have preferred a shorter break in the middle of dinner and more time in the beginning so that we could spend more time on the deck while the sun set. Tickets for this event were $65 and in my opinion it was worth it. We had a great time and it was something I could check of my bucket list!

Escape Artists in Sanford is a really solid spot if you're into escape rooms. They have several…read moredifferent rooms with varying levels of difficulty, which makes it fun whether you're new to escape rooms or you've done a bunch before. I've actually done all of their rooms, and I've genuinely liked every single one. Each room feels a little different, the puzzles are well thought out, and they're challenging without feeling impossible. It's clear a lot of effort went into the design and flow of the rooms. The staff has always been friendly and helpful as well, which makes the experience even better. Overall it's a great local place for escape rooms and definitely somewhere I'd recommend if you're looking for a fun group activity in Sanford

I liked how it felt immersive and had clear story telling. It was adventure themed and very fun. Then, we played Secret Society on whim and I would say that experience was 3/5. It was their oldest game and it showed. It was old school with a few key locks and a couple cool elements thrown in, so it was immersive but pretty easy for experienced players (we are now 2nd on the leader board having escaped with 30:13 minutes remaining) leaving you feeling a little unfulfilled. I am interested in playing their newest game, Operation: Ringfall, which opened last year.
