I booked a taxi on New Year's Eve at around 5pm with Citytax asking to pick me and my partner up at…read more10pm to go into town. A nice young lady took the booking and my address, name and number of passengers. "Sorted", I thought. At 10:15 I was getting a bit nervous so I called and the lady said that they were just getting a car for me and that it would be with us "soon". at 10:25 my partner phoned again to be told the car would be with us at 10:35. At 10:40 I called. I spoke to a guy this time. It seems clear from the silence when I asked about my (10PM!!) booking and the clicking of the computer keyboard that they had either forgotten about me or the lady did not take my booking at all, or she failed to book it onto their system. I just had no explanation - simply silence. I told them to forget it. Luckily we weren't stranded 7 miles away from where we wanted to go at nearly 11pm on New Year's Eve and we made it into town. But we will NEVER use Citytax again.
