After over a week in large cities...dealing with crowds and rude employees everywhere we…read morewent.....we decided to make a stop in Mt. Airy, NC. Home town of Andy Griffith. It was such a great stop. We love the off the beaten path kind of places and this is certainly one of them! We got there late in the afternoon and all the shops on Main street were closed, so we were just window shopping, taking pictures of the quaint Mayberry named stores, when we happened to pass by Mayberry country, just as they were locking up for the day. The owners, Barbara and Don, greeted us just like we were in Mayberry RFD. They insisted they open the store back up for us.....They were tired from a long day, but said they wanted us to be able to take home some souvenirs from their town, so they unlocked the door, turned the lights back on and helped us! AND...they told us all about their little town..where to find the best attractions and they even gave us a map to find them. Their little shop is great and we certainly did find some great things to take home....but the most important thing we found was Barbara and Don. They have to be the nicest shop owners anywhere!! Don said that the most important things to him are the tourists that stop in their town. How rare is that??? If you stop in Airy, be sure to visit them! They will make your day! https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g49371-r498867451-Mount_Airy_North_Carolina.html#

I ordered something I'd probably consider mid-range compared to the lot overall price points and I ended up being really happy with it. The arrangement had what I thought was a pretty generous amount of flowers for the price and it was put together really well and is still kicking along pretty good as of this writing. The people were really friendly and personable too. I'd recommend checking them out.

They also have a nice assortment of ribbon to make personalized ribbons of any size. I like that they carry extra large mailbox covers and that's why I stop in when we're in town. I let her know I lived an hour away so she was aware of this . Apparently at some point she lost power due to the hurricane which is totally understandable and I would've understood if I was told and would've planned to come another weekend . Not finding out after I was already in Pilot Mt at that point that she still had no power and I even went by the store and sat for about 20 mins and after no response back for awhile I left and bought some somewhere else . I made a review on fb and the owner wanted to argue back and forth along with a lady named Lisa Evans and making it seem like I'm the issue here . I will not be back and it's so unprofessional! ** And then the fact that the owner and the Lisa girl want to say I never came by and then the Lisa girl send a gif saying happy dance saying she's glad I won't be back says it all . I would never even spend a $1 in that store .

Flowers arrived with nothing but a tie, not very presentable. My sister was being nice and tried to take a good photo of the flowers to not hurt my feelings but even in the photo you can see the roses are not fresh and are dying. Look at the stems of the flowers too! They're dry and probably won't last for 24-48 hours. Probably better off buying flowers from Trader Joe's Update: They called me back and offered a discount for my next purchase instead of offering to replace the drying flowers. After my experience, why would I buy from here again?? They also admitted that they didn't wrap it in the brown paper because they believe a plain white tie is more festive. I wish they would have contacted me and asked if it was okay for them to change my order. Even flowers at grocery stores come with a plastic wrapping to make it more presentable! I also feel bad for the door dash driver who had to deliver these flowers without a cover. Hope their car didn't get ruined.
