I went out airboat riding with Captain Mike in 2021 and my experience with him versus another company was night and day. He had a headset where he could communicate with us throughout the entire ride and we could ask questions. He was very informative of how alligators live, sleep, eat etc. he took us far south where we saw a minimum of 30 alligators and even a mom with her baby alligators. I highly recommend an airboat ride with interactive headsets. For me it made it more enjoyable and I learned a lot more about alligators and settled all my fears and concerns about living here amongst the alligators. read more

Wow! We picked this company after speaking with all the others for our first AirBoat ride and what an awesome experience. Captain Dexter was absolutely awesome. This wasn't some quick thrill ride with ZERO interaction form him. He Made NO promises that we would see and Gators annnnnd We saw no less than 6 and they were all huge. He took us into the marshes up and down the river and accross the lake as well. We stopped he took all the time in the world to answer anyone questions and also spoke I detail about the eco system. I would highly recommend them. 1 hour 45$. Vs 30-35 for 30 and no interaction from the other places. do yourself a favor and come here UNLESS your just a drunk looking too hang out and have a beer at a Tiki bar with Fan boats. But if you want a good time great and informative discussion about the area then give these guys a go you will not be disappointed read more

Captain Mike was great! Took my two boys (12 & 14) and Mike was great and attentive to them as well as the other passengers. So glad we decided to take a few hours away from the beach to experience it. Ride was an hour long, very good rate, and we saw 6-12 gators (including a few big ones) and tons of beautiful birds and scenery. So, my brother and sister-in-law from Maryland wanted to go on an airboat ride before leaving Florida. My wife and I went on one in the Everglades. Although fun it was really meant to be a thrill ride with lots of high-speed turns and 360s. We survived but it wasn't what I would call relaxing. My brother found Airboat Rides on the internet and we signed up. Frankly, I was expecting another high-speed adventure with hair in the wind and bugs in our teeth. Captain Mike, our experienced driver, boarded us and let us know what to expect (lots of history and little-known facts about alligators). He had just returned from taking another group out and knew exactly where the gators were hanging out that day. Off we went and sure enough, saw quite a few of the critters both large and small. We even got fairly close to a few of them. Captain Mike has been a resident of Brevard County for over 50 years and actually skied on the lake and river when he was a teenager so he really knows the area and its history along with the behavior patterns of the alligators and is more than eager to share his knowledge. Best thing about the ride (that lasted at least 1.5 hours) was not having to hang on for dear life while experimenting with high speed turns and terrorizing the passengers. He did "get up and go" a few times to demonstrate the power and agility of the boat but I never felt in danger. I would go again without hesitation especially when we have visitors come in. read more

We were passing through Melbourne and on whim called Airboat Rides to see if they might be able to accommodate our family of five (with three kids under the age of 10) for that afternoon. When we called they were friendly and able to accommodate us later that afternoon. We were able to confirm the details via text message and received a link to a map. We met our airboat captain at a park (which was easy to find) and set off on the air boat tour on time. We enjoyed cruising around the lake and learning about the history of the land, eater and sea creatures. We learned about the alligators in the area and were able to see several along the way. The tour lasted a little over an hour. We had a really great time, our kids enjoyed themselves. Our captain was friendly and engaged well with us. We would highly recommend this company! read more
