Dorothy offered to schedule a tech that afternoon and then started running through the most common causes. With her on the line I found a blown fuse on the units motherboard and was able to replace it (props to Home Depot for having them in stock). Bottom line, she was polite, responsive AND helped me solve the issue over the phone at no cost. I will definitely call Davey Heating and Air for all my HVAC needs in the future.

Within ~10 minutes, got a call from this company who asked some basic questions and troubleshooted some things over the phone, without even talking amount payment or price. When that didn't work after an hour, I messaged back and they got me on the schedule for the next day (it was already 5pm by this time. They came promptly during the window and gave me heads up, figured out the issue in less than 15 minutes, and gave me a range of options and prices. He actually taught me several things about the AC and showed me how to do some repairs myself and where to get parts, and lo and behold it worked like a charm! Couldn't be happier with the quality, speed, and friendliness of the service. Got my AC pumping ice cold air in time to get the house cool for my kids' naps. Davey will absolutely be my go-to from now on and I would recommend them to anyone and everything.

While the technicians themselves were friendly, my overall experience with Summit was disappointing…read more-- particularly given that they had been highly recommended by a neighbor. After the fourth visit and two failed inspections, I asked to speak with the owner. He said he'd show up on the final day and didn't. Not showing up after committing to do so speaks volumes. On multiple occasions, employees attempted to -- or did -- walk through my home beyond where work was being completed with their shoes on. This is a basic courtesy that should not have needed to be addressed. On the final day, an employee complained about the time spent waiting for the inspector to arrive. After five+ weeks of doing exactly that myself, I couldn't help but laugh internally. Most importantly, Summit advertises a "100% Right or 100% Free" guarantee on their website. These are not complicated words -- 100% means 100%, and free means free. There is no secondary meaning to either. When I raised this, I was told it essentially means they will keep trying until the job is done correctly -- which is admirable in theory, but falls well short of what "100% Free" implies when a customer has invested THOUSANDS of dollars. After reading the other reviews, I'm hoping the problem with my AC wasn't just a leak somewhere that could have been fixed for much less. I would strongly encourage potential customers to clarify what that guarantee truly means before signing a contract, and to get everything in writing.

Austin and Noah are professional, respectful, and clearly take pride in their work. They are also very pleasant to work with. If you're looking for an HVAC company, especially one that knows how to troubleshoot difficult problems and gives straightforward, trustworthy advice, I highly recommend D&A Heating & Air. Bill came over and fixed it, I kid you not, in less than 10 minutes. He also showed me what to look for and how to fix it myself incase it acts up again. I won't go anywhere else. I paid a total of $200 for a 10 minute job that consisted of two small pieces of tape. The trip fee was $125 which I was fine with, but the extra $75 for two pieces of tape was excessive and unreasonable. When I called to ask about it, I was met with a dismissive tone telling me that was a great price for two pieces of tape. She then said the technician stated he was there for 3 hours when he was only there for 10 minutes. She then told me she'd talk to the boss and get back to me. That never happened, so I followed up a week later only to be told, it was a flat rate and that's the price. This was a frustrating experience from the price and customer service aspect. I asked twice for the technician to call before any work was performed. That didn't happen. Then I was told I would receive a follow up call which didn't happen. I regret referring them to others.

Dimitri, the owner came out promptly to assess the noise issue, diagnosed the problem, and said "I can replace the motor and you can probably get a few more years, maybe", out of this and gave me a ballpark cost. The furnace issues were more severe. I decided to replace both AC & furnace. The price quoted for a Trane unit was very fair. The install crew Ivan & Arvy were very experienced. The install went smoothly. My phone calls or texts were answered promptly, they showed up on time and everyone I dealt with was very professional. I can't recommend them highly enough. The good: - the price.....cheap for a reason - available immediately...another red flag The bad: - Super messy. Dust and attic filling from the duct work left all over. No plastic covers, except what I could find in my garage - Took the easiest path on everything. Location, electrical runs, thermostat - didn't block it (raise it) in attic. Just sitting unleveled on the attic floor joist - duct tape on all the vents with hardly a hint of mastic on metal connections - Left electrical lines uncapped without a junction box. Just twisted and tapped it laying in insulation. - installed a non functioning water pump and water spilled over (actually replaced maybe 3 pumps? - cracked specialized ceiling plaster because of the moister but couldn't fix it. Hired another company - probably been out here 6 times trying to fix it, but as soon as they leave the freezes again - that's when I found loose ductwork everywhere.
