Very engaging! I…read morewent through multiple therapist who just sit and not say a damn thing or remembered anything we talked about. At times even waiting in silence for some engagement and wouldn't say anything unless I asked. Jennifer, Is amazing! She listens and either reads her notes before the session or has amazing memory but definitely recalls information from a week prior. She also engages by asking questions and gives feed back. Highly recommended Jennifer if you're looking for someone who not only listens but remembers prior information and is engaging in a way that feels like a conversation rather than a therapy session.

I was pretty hopeless but willing to give counseling a shot. I felt at ease with Jennifer very quickly. She is very relatable and intelligent, and she really cares. She very quickly saw what was going on between us, and we both felt relief that someone got it and could help. I feel like she cares about both of us individually and as a couple, and wants us to succeed. We are doing better (we are still a work in progress), but we both feel much stronger in our marriage, and are very committed to making it work. She is someone I trust to recommend for therapy.

I highly recommend Courtney Collier, her no-nonsense approach is exactly what we needed. My boyfriend and I are two strong people, and we needed a therapist to be sharp enough to call us out on our stuff. Not only did she prove a strong therapist, in the end I really got a sense that she cared about us. Perhaps it's a small thing, but it made the whole therapy experience real for me. It's amazing how our fights always seemed to be over they same small stuff, & Courtney helped us see that what we where fighting about wasn't necessarily about the content, but about much deeper needs both of us had. Knowing this, we now can have meaningful and productive conversations that often have a good outcome. I walked out of therapy seeing our relationship issues as just normal stuff people go through. What makes our couples counselor unique is that her style of counseling uses tools that she instructed us to use in session. We continue to be mindful and use these tools outside of our session. This hands-on approach gave us essential life skills that I just didn't get growing up...common sense skills to communicate with honesty and vulnerability and ways to avoid reactive fighting that so plagued us in the past. Again, I highly recommend Courtney Collier- she is the best in SF!

Most of the therapists I met with gave me realistic, honest advice not some advice that's biased or "fluffy", but kind and helpful advice I can use now and in the future. I felt seen and understood, which has been rare for me. Prior to attending treatment here, I was afraid of psychiatrists, but Dr. Safani was very kind and put my mind at ease. He "healed" my fear of medication and psychiatry by being patient with me. When we would have sessions, he truly showed compassion and care of me and helped me find supplements as well as regular medication that I felt comfortable taking. The staff is smart and logical, and I appreciate that. I was encouraged to get testing done as well even though I thought I didn't want to, and was glad I did. I ended up getting some diagnoses that made me feel seen and relieved. In general, I felt cared for. Additionally, being in the groups was nice because instead of learning about mundane topics, the staff knows how to make learning about mental health fun. Even when I wasn't feeling well, I still got something out of every group, and was excited to learn. It really changed my way of looking at things, and even psychology. In the few months I was a patient here, I feel that it was helpful in rewiring my brain. I felt this treatment center is helpful and in a way, priceless. You gain tools you can keep with you forever, and it's similar to school in a way. Even though my physical health was struggling, I still felt more empowered, seen, and cared for after leaving treatment. An investment in myself that I am truly grateful for. I definitely recommend for anyone, and wish I did it sooner.
