Unfortunately our wait staff had major issues getting the orders through. In the end what we thought were small personal pizzas ended up being full size ones. Simply too much food for three people. The quality of the dish was questionable at best and gave each of us terrible upset stomachs for the rest of our day in Venice. Overall just an extremely disappointing experience.

Once inside they have a couple tables with small window views of any gondolas passing by. We started off with a plate of lightly fried sardines topped with pickled white onions. The fry on the fish was super light and those vinegar-y onions were the perfect pairing. We cleaned that plate. The lasagna was well balanced with the meat, sauce, cheese. The squid ink pasta was chewy/al dente with a subtle touch of seafood flavors giving the cuttlefish. It was very umami but nothing too overbearing. Delicious! I would rate this as a €€€ restaurant, as it was a little more expensive than the typical restaurant in the area. The prices in Padua (and Italy in general) are very good. In the U.S. this would definitely be inexpensive by comparison. The appetizer was 17€, the squid was 19€ and the wine 4€ which is typical for the area since it's a local wine. I also had a dessert which was about 6 or 7€. So not bad for a good meal, considering a euro was about $1.09 when I was there. Service was very good as well.

So we came here for an early dinner (around 5pm), kitchen is open through! Took a nice table inside by the window. Our Bulldog was welcome as well. Staff/owner very friendly, helpful and made us feel very welcome here. Inside it's a nice, cosy atmosphere. Good selection of wine on the menu as well. For all kinds of budgets. And at the counter a nice display of all kinds of seafood. Lovely place. We've ordered the Crudo di Mare plate and Spaghetti Vongole. And a .375ml bottle of their white house wine, which turned out to be a good pairing with the seafood. Both dishes were excellent! Plenty of Vongole (clams) in the pasta dish, Spaghetti were perfectly cooked. Vongole were nice and fresh and the dish perfectly spiced (not too much, which is good). A real highlight definitely the Crudo di Mare. Two langoustines (so nice and sweet flavour), two red shrimp. scallops, tuna, swordfish, oysters and tuna tartare. All fresh, all tasty. An excellent mix of wonderful fish and seafood. Quality wise along on top with the best ones we've had so far (we love Crudo di Mare). And all is nicely presented. Really made our day, this meal here. After the meal we even got some aperitif on the house. A wonderful place. Feels very relaxed, lots of great items on the menu. The only thing I can comment on is the appetizer because that's all I had. I tried the sea scallops along with a local Veneto white wine and it was good. Service was adequate and ambiance was ok. The real ambiance is Chioggia with its Venice-like feel and small bridges spanning canals. I came more for the views than for the food and it was mid-day so I wasn't ready for a full meal. This was the only place I ate so you have to take this review in a vacuum. I could give more perspective if I tried a few other places in the area.
