Of course, she prescribed me some medicine, but gave me the option to take them or not. The clinical area was clean and clutter-free. The lobby was spacious with plenty of seating. There wasn't any staff waiting upstairs and would had to check in at in downstairs. The wheelchairs were near the front door which of course at the time, I needed one since I couldn't walk. (it was because I was sick and it was last minute. ...I would have gone anywhere at that point) I've read more reviews at other sites with others that say they have had experienced their busy lines) ...so I went to my 9:30am appointment (at the other place). She put me on hold. ...for 3 minutes ...to come back and say, rudely, we've marked your name in our system as denied. You were a no-show and now the doctor refuses to see you. My jaw dropped! I was like... excuse me!? ...just like that.?! I explained what had happened that day...and she said.. it was the doctor that noted your record....so it won't be changed. I told her, so if anyone misses their appointment, this is how they are treated? ...even though it was because your phone lines that I couldn't get through. I'm just glad I didn't go...especially if that is how they treat people. After reading reviews, it seems like either the doctor's have no clue that their staff is treating patients terribly, or they have poor management. ...and in my experiences, all fingers usually point to the management. Then, my labs showed one slightly elevated liver enzyme, which Dr Avalos incorrectly diagnosed as non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. I fed my numbers into an AI bot and the bot had the intelligence to ask if I'd had a hard workout recently. In fact I did, and I'm guessing the AI bot was more correct. More galling, I asked Dr Avalos what to do about the NAFLD. She basically said "IDK LOL," and if that wasn't bad enough the app let me know the response was generated by AI. She couldn't care less... Next, I asked to go on zepbound. Dr Avalos prescribed it for me (BMI above 30), but told me it would only be for a month while my BMI was above 30. I showed her the data from Eli Lilly showing that this is supposed to be a long term / maintenance drug, and if I go off in a month obviously I'm going to regain the weight. I showed her clinical data that confirms I should stay on through lower BMIs. I showed her insurance data that said I should stay qualified as long as I qualified at the beginning of treatment. Again her response was basically "IDK LOL!" Cannot recommend avoiding this place at all costs if this is the type of person they have giving medical advice.
