I ordered 3 expensive bathing suits and I then request via text for the available pickup hours. I was given their hours of operation which are different than what is posted on Google AND Yelp. I start to drive all the way over which is over 45 minutes in traffic, once I arrive they are closed before the time given They don't even bother to respond my texts or calls. I needed the bathing suit pieces for a special event which is now ruined thanks to the unprofessional management of this shop.

The dresses and tunics they had brought with them were absolutely beautiful! I couldn't resist, so I went up and started chatting with them. The sisters are super charming, and very sweet. They told me about how they got their business started, apparently after traveling extensively through the Caribbean, they noticed the lack of stores that sold resort and beach couture, so they decided to start importing and selling it themselves. I met them when they were just doing small shows here and there, and today, after very much deserved recognition, they run an amazing on-line boutique! When I was looking through the items, I noticed this beautiful long dress, but it was an XS and I thought to myself "there's not way in hell I'm fitting into this". Lynne encouraged me to try it on regardless, she assured me that it was going to look beautiful on me, and lo and behold it did. In other occasions though, they've known when to recommend larger sizes because the item ran too small. This is what I love about them, they know how insecure women can be so they're super personable and helpful and really want you to look and feel your best. When I can't make it to one of their shows, I shoot them an email and they welcome me into their apartment, where they have the latest styles, and its truly one of the best experiences ever, super comfortable, one-on-one shopping...there's no better customer service!! Trust me when I say I'm definitely not a girly-girl, but when it comes to Nic del Mar, I allow myself to be. I thought about reviewing them because I was looking for something to wear to the Yelp Spice event at the Mandarin. Then I hand washed the suit in my bathroom sink and instantly the water was pink. What was once a hot pink suit now fades every time it gets wet. I contacted customer service to exchange for a different suit and they say that "they stand behind their fabrics BUT" because I was the first one to complain about this, they would not exchange. I even provided pictures. Would you be ok with a $200 pink bathing suit bleeding onto your clothes every time you get it wet? They do not value their customers. The cost to keep a current customer happy is far less than the cost of attracting new customers. Business 101.
