Seafood pasta 6/5
Ansh P.

Definitely the highlight of my recent trip to San Jose Del Cabo. The setting is amazing within the stunning Perilla resort right at the edge of the water. It's a 6 star restaurant in a 6 star resort and it's definitely worth it. The service is impeccable. A few items we ordered represented the best version of that dish we had ever had. Milpa salad: 6/5.. never knew baby corn could taste this good! Tortilla soup: 5/5 .. you have to have balls to serve this lukewarm by intent! The depth of the flavor and the consistency of the soup is just totally unique. Pastor Trompo Taco: 6/5... we got it without the pineapple (personal preference) It's essentially veal and pork but the marination was beyond my palate's experience and imagination. Probably the best taco I've ever had. Grilled fish: 5/5.. they call it the catch of the day "a la Talla"... a 6 oz sea bass topped with Quelites which I think is a catch all for Mexican leafy veggies. Seafood Risotto: 5/5.. called Mexican Risotto a la Tumbada on the menu... Octopus+Clam+Shrimp+Fish... Chile Relleno: 5/5.. this was off a separate Vegan menu and we added the cheese back.. Tres Leches: 6/5.. maybe the best dessert I've ever had. Even if you hated tres leches before you would love it after Agua's rendition. Wow! It's tough to describe Agua without superlatives.. the cliffside location, the amazing views, the hotel itself!, the service, the attention to detail in preparation, the quality of ingredients and most importantly the final product all really do make for a very unique experience. One of the best meals I've had overall for sure!

So full disclosure we are here during a special tasting menu from chef Gabriela Ruiz - but this flagship restaurant at The One and Only - Palmilla is a must visit in the area. The cliff side views of the ocean and amazing views! Be sure to visit on the earlier side so you can catch sunset!

This was absolutely, by far, our favorite place that we ate while visiting Cabo. My husband and I visited while on our honeymoon and the staff made us feel so welcomed. The waitstaff and service was impeccable and probably the best we received from any restaurant we've ever been. The man in charge of the restaurant personally came over and made sure our meal was great. It's those little things that make the experience over the top. And if you can't tell by the food, that was incredible too. 1,000,000 out of 10 - would definitely recommend.

We went to Agua for a taste of the rich life while staying at a more mid range hotel on the corridor. Dinner was a la carte or tasting menu. Note that there are two seating options - one on the patio and one in the garden closer to the water. The tasting option for that "moonlight dining" option was $350USD for 2 people (or a la carte but youd be charged that amount). We were happy with the patio - it wasnt crowded, the band playing nearby outside the bar was great, and the service was excellent. I chose the surf and turf with a mole sauce and it was one of those plain meals that just hit all the right notes - I was really happy with it. Tres leches for dessert was amazing. Total bill with drinks around $290USD for 2, so roughly $100 less than the moonlight option after drinks. We also dined at The Cape, and I can say the two meals were equivalent as higher end dining options, but quite different. If you have time to do both Palmilla and The Cape I recommend both with a few days of taco's in between. Now time to hit the diet again.

I ate here every day on my trip, for breakfasts and dinners. Every meal was outstanding! Service was also exceptional. At every meal one of the managers on duty came to our table to introduce themselves and ask how we were doing. Very nice touch! The quality of food was top notch. Some of the stand outs for me were the salmon eggs Benedict (some of the best I've ever had!), the churros (came in a cute box, filled with dulce de leche and had chocolate dipping sauce- most delicious churros of my life!), and the mushroom fettuccini. 10/10 recommend!

Overpriced mediocre food. Palmilla is an amazing resort after a week here we tried all restaurants. Seared is wonderful and worth the price. Suviche is good however Agua has the best view minus the great food. We were not fans. However the mojito I ordered was superior to all others I have

Aqua was very good! We did a lot here. Starting with breakfest! Absolutely delicious! Go here and order the egg tacos, French toast and amazing juices! Dinner: we had dinner her twice, once was the regular menu and the scallops were amazing! The second time was the set menu. The set menu had amazing ceviche and steak! We weren't to fond of the soup but wanted to try everything! The second time, we did the moonlight table with tequila tasting! This was amazing! Definitely recpmmend it, go relax with the view of a life time and enjoy! Big thank you to Emma and Rodrigo! They were amazing!

This property, dinner and service were incredible. We sat at a Chefs Table and all agreed this place knocked all other places out of the park. Definitely will be back!

Had the pleasure of dining here on both Christmas Day as well as New Years Day. This is a 10/10 place that really prides itself on providing an all around awesome experience. From the hostess to the servers, everyone is on board to make sure you enjoy your dining experience. They made sure our table was located in an ideal place, with a view and proper lighting. As for the food, I don't know what to recommend more. The shrimp appetizer is AMAZING along with their homemade bread ooo we had multiple refills just to dip in the sauce. For entrees, the risotto and catch of the day were delicious. Our absolute favorite were the churros filled with warm chocolate mmmm I want them now just thinking of them. If you aren't staying at One & Only don't worry, there are golf carts to transport you but it is just a short walk through the beautiful resort. Whether you save it for a special occasion or just because you want to try my favorites, it's a must go while in Cabo

Downright Gorgeous!!! Service was perfect! Location geographically outstanding as I see beautiful mountains, beaches, grass and desert. Combination is incredible contrast. Geographically it doesn't get much better. But then there's the food. The food was very nice, but incredibly expensive. Are you curious what I mean by incredibly expensive? I ordered grilled octopus as an appetizer it cost over $40 I ordered a 7 ounce salmon over a bed of mashed potatoes, it cost over $60. Now the octopus was wonderful, was it worth $40 probably Not. Let me go further... deafly not worth it. The salmon, the fish itself was perfect. Unfortunately the mashed potato was luke warm. For $60++ the mass potatoes should be hot. There was a small band of four people playing Mexican music, totally enjoyable. I gave four stars, I think it was generous giving the fourth Star. My dinner cost me $500. The food was $300 the wine 200. It was difficult to buy wine less then $200.

We had such a wonderful time during our honeymoon dinner at Agua! The service was excellent and the setting was gorgeous. They brought us free dessert and champagne to celebrate!

Apostolis Restaurant - Gyro combo

After spending a few days in Cabo and trying to avoid the overpriced tourist traps, we decided to…read moretry Apostolis. It was not loud and crowded like all the other spots. Prices were also much more reasonable. We talked to the person in front of the restaurant because he was actually polite and not pushy like all the other "sales" guys on the Marina. He told us about the different options they have for cooking fresh caught fish. We caught a nice yellow fin tuna the day before and the restaurants offerings sounded pretty good. We gave them our fish, and chose to have them make the tuna 3 ways. They brought out complimentary pistachio bread with olive oil and vinegar as well as pita bread and garlic hummus. Both were pretty good, but nothing amazing. After that, our first tuna course came out. It was a crudo style dish with Parmesan cheese, capers, and a vinaigrette. It was absolutely delicious and i was very surprised that the cheese went with the fresh tuna. I am usually opposed to pairing dairy with my seafood. But this just worked and I could have eaten the entire tuna prepared this way. Then came a grilled preparation of the tuna with a light tomato, zucchini, and olive sauce. It was paired with a Bulgar wheat salad and a beet salad. The beets were just average, but the Bulgar wheat was a perfect pairing with the fish. Lastly, we had a pan cooked tuna with a balsamic onion sauce. We though that the sauce was a bit heavy and over-powered the fish, but it was still delicious nonetheless. It came with a green salad and a garlic mashed potatoes and those were good but nothing amazing. This place did not have the crowds of the tourist traps, but more people should be eating here instead of the Americanized nachos and quesadillas at the other restaurants on the Marina. True, this place is not authentic Mexican either, but its a great change of pace from the other Marina spots.

Ambiance: The restaurant is located right next to the beach nestled with two other restaurants. It was a bit windy, but it was an incredible view for us (see photo). Staff: From the hostess to our server, the wait staff was incredible! Lots of personality & friendliness the whole dining experience! Dining: We ordered: -Maze (baba ghanoush, hummus, jacoque with chipotle & pita bread) ***The Maze was very nice. Three distinct flavors that were all incredible. However, the pita left a lot to be desired. It was too thick...almost like a shortbread. Don't think that you will get an actual pita bread...it was not that at all. Now, it was still edible & paired nicely with the three dips, but it is not pita. -Falafel with Greek Sauce Yoghurt ***The falafel was very nice & paired nicely with the yoghurt! There was a small pile of green salad as well. -Chicken Shwarma with coleslaw salad & potato & garlic dressing ***I do not recommend this dish. The chicken was not seasoned & the coleslaw did not have enough bite. The tortilla it was wrapped in was also just very average. The dressing was not "garlicky" enough either. This is not your traditional Shawarma you would get from "Halal Guys" for example. -Lamb & Beef Kofta with greek yoghurt dressing & curry ***This was incredibly delicious! The Kofta was seasoned to perfection & was cooked perfectly! It had the same yoghurt dressing as the falafel & unfortunately the same green salad on the side. So, I'll take a little bit off of that, but I definitely recommend the Kofta! -Arabic Sweets Trilogy (baklava, bridal fingers, & graibes) ***I really wanted the trilogy, but unfortunately they only had the baklava. This was their interpretation, but it was good! It was crispy & flaky as it should be & they paired it with a nice vanilla bean ice cream. Since they did not have the trilogy, they brought out two plates with two pieces of baklava on each plate to make up for not having the trilogy. Thanks for trying to make it right! Overall, I'd recommend with the caveats above in mind. The location is beautiful...we watched the sunset fall over the boats in the harbor...breathtaking!

The Habanero linguine is the thing to get here though! Wow! Our friends also had the lobster risotto. I added some anchovies to the lobster risotto & really set it off. It was just me and my husband, but there were quite a few larger groups dining while we were here. The service is wonderful. We had two main waiters, both of whom were kind, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. The cocktails and the wine we ordered were wonderful. I really loved the cocktail we ordered! Our dining experience was nice, but the food we ordered was just okay. I wouldn't call it some of the best of Cabo. Of our six dinners in Cabo, I would say it was probably our second to least favorite. But, that's not saying it was bad! It just wasn't on par with the other restaurants we dined at. First, I told the restaurant both when I made the reservation and when two different people at the restaurant inquired about food restrictions that I could not have cheese. The first thing served to us - an amuse bouche - was heavy on the cheese. It was a rather large ravioli, which was much larger than a normal amuse bouche -- and it had cheese inside the ravioli, a cheesy sauce, and cheese grated on top. So I could not eat a bite of it. My husband said it was just okay. The best thing we ordered here was the aguachile. It was beautiful, colorful, artfully presented, and absolutely delicious. So fresh, and well prepared. Loved it! Our main courses, however, were a little disappointing. They tasted fine, but ate more like the kind of main course you would order at a chain Italian restaurant in the US: heavy, chewy, and generic. But my personal saddest moment was when the churros arrived. I love churros, so very much. These looked beautiful, but when my husband and I cut into ours, they were all raw on the inside. So the flavor outside was delicious but we couldn't eat more than the ends of the churros. Overall, I enjoyed the experience of dining at Casa Martin... I just wish the food was better. I am hoping it was just an off night, and I look forward to revisiting this restaurant on a future visit to Cabo and hopefully having a better meal (but the aguachile was seriously so good - order that!).

But to their credit, F&B GM Manuel Herrera personally reached out after my review, invited us back, and completely changed the experience for us. I really respect when a restaurant takes feedback seriously instead of getting defensive, and it says a lot that they genuinely wanted to make things right. Glad we gave it another chance! From the moment we arrived, the hospitality and attention to detail were noticeable. Manuel went out of his way to make our dinner feel special, and we appreciated meeting Hector as well. Service throughout the evening was attentive, thoughtful, and warm. And of course, the setting speaks for itself -- the sunset views over the Sea of Cortez are stunning. Highlights: * Focaccia: still amazing * Dairy-free rolls: addictive -- I had four * Bone marrow & yellowfin tuna: excellent balance of truffle without overpowering the dish * Pacific seafood: maybe our favorite course of the night. Beautiful hints of vanilla, and the octopus + scallop were cooked perfectly * Steak tartare: definitely an improvement from our last visit * Agnolotti del plum: somehow even better than last time. Huge win * Josper grill shrimp: insanely good with the mole (a swap from the tzatziki due to my dairy allergy)I practically licked the plate clean * Coconut sponge cake with berry caviar: unique, flavorful, and a great ending to the meal Only miss for us: * Kampachi: the one dish that fell a bit flat. Felt like it needed more acidity and salt
