We stopped here on an impromptu lunch and saw some people eating in the back of what looked like was just a small bodega. Dried pastas, specialty sauces, some olive oil are all on the wall. But if you look closely, people are clearly eating their store-made lunches in the back. Upon closer inspection, this deli/bodega actually has homemade pastas, salads, and meats. We were lucky enough to be inquisitive and had one of the best lunches we've enjoyed on this trip to Italy.
We had the special roast beef, cooked rare with layers of flavor and a mild gravy. A gorgonzola-pasta salad accompanied to complete a decadent lunch. Wifey had the roasted chicken, equally delicious, along with another pasta-salad that featured tomatoes, capers and olives - excellent as well. Wines by the glass (plastic cup) are also available. Owner/service was very friendly and helpful - although Italian is a must here. No English spoken.
