My experience living here was extremely disappointing and, ultimately, very stressful.
When I first moved in, the owner was incredibly welcoming and friendly. She made me feel like she genuinely cared about me and wanted to help me get settled. Unfortunately, that experience did not last. Over time, I began to feel that residents were treated very differently depending on their relationship with management.
I had concerns regarding charges being added to my rent and felt that questioning or disputing those charges was not really welcomed. Instead of feeling like I could communicate openly about legitimate concerns, I felt pressured to simply accept management's decisions.
The way the pet policy was enforced was another major issue for me. I was told that my trailer was not suitable for pets and was essentially given an ultimatum: either rehome my pet or find somewhere else to live. I was given until the end of the month to make that decision. What made this especially upsetting was my perception that the rules were not applied consistently to everyone.
I also found the constant presence of surveillance cameras extremely uncomfortable. I felt like residents were being watched far more closely than I would consider normal or comfortable in a place I was supposed to call home. The overall atmosphere eventually became one where I felt I had to be careful about what I said and who I trusted.
What hurts the most is that I initially trusted the owner and believed I was dealing with someone who genuinely cared about her residents. That trust completely changed over the course of my time here.
Being told that I had to leave was incredibly upsetting, especially because I felt I had been treated unfairly and that my concerns were not given a fair opportunity to be heard. A home should provide a sense of security and stability--not leave you feeling anxious about whether you will suddenly be told you have to leave.
I would strongly encourage anyone considering moving here to ask very specific questions about the rental agreement, additional fees, pet policies, surveillance, and the circumstances under which management can require you to move. Get everything in writing.
My experience may not be everyone's experience, but I can only speak to what happened to me. Based on my experience, I would not recommend living here. What started as a welcoming situation ultimately became one of the most stressful housing experiences I've had read more
