We noticed some mold and that was quickly removed. He came w two young guys and a dehumidifier (which he left on for the week). When I checked back w them after an hour, Klaus had DRILLED 3/4" HOLES ALL ALONG MY CABINET BOTTOM and in the sheetrock (12 total)!!! We NEVER discussed this! He actually did DAMAGE while I was not in the room! I asked him why he did this. He claimed that it was to "air it out" and that it was "easy to repair" by installing a wood strip over the holes! Wow, not what I wanted for sure. Two thing Klaus kept asking me the entire 2 hrs that he was at my house was 1.) is this going to be a homeowner insurance claim, and 2.) he wanted to REMOVE the cabinet, and even suggested coming at the leak from the OUTSIDE of the house! The literally cut through our exterior wall. Months went by as we tried to close the leak (which we did). In the meantime Klaus sends my a bill for $700! For what? Doing damage in 2hrs?! I told him to COMPLETE the job by repairing the damage he did and I would pay him. That was Summer, now it's Winter and Edelweiss has done 0. And the leak was in the floor.

The second round of work, I had reached out to them asking for a referral to cut a large nicho/open shelf in a wall and to reseal a small area of brick. They said they could do it for me. Great? The opening of the wall went great the finish of the opening was done poorly. They came back to try to correct the finish on the shelf/nicho but still left the edges with the base coat showing and the filler lumpy and uneven The brick I requested be resealed needed some sand, which I asked if they could do or should I get someone else to do the sand, they said they would be able to add the sand in some areas before sealing, unfortunately the sand was left on top of the bricks and seal put over the sand. They came back to redo the bricks, but only redid a portion of the brick, areas of the floor still have sand under the seal.... The response I received regarding the finish of the shelf/nicho was that it's difficult to do a plaster finish in an already plastered wall. The response I got regarding the brick is that they put the sand in the brick at my request I was told they were swamped and needed to finish the job and did what they could.

Lots of bubbling, open welds, improper sealing around edges. Allowed all debris from the old roof to fall into the home. Refused to put down plastic or tarp even after I requested him. We had to vacuum several hours each day for 2-3 days to get rid of all the dirt and debris that fell through the cracks in our tongue and groove ceiling. More than 1 former customer of this roofer has reached out to me personally and reported his bullying behavior and threats when they confronted him with his shoddy work!! Clearly, this his standard MO- do substandard work and then threaten repercussions if someone dares to complain and get them to back off! I had to post reviews on social media, file complaints with BBB and CID and reach out to the city Building Inspections department to get a functionally adequate roof, but with lots and lots of patches and one that looks like it was installed 20 years ago!
