Side dishes Tofu with Stir-fried Kimchi and Pork, Kimchi Creamy Udon, Tofu with Stir-fried Kimchi and Pork, Seafood Pancake and corn cheese
Olyvia N.

We were on our way back from a hiking trip from Rainier as it gotten pretty late cause of the drive and we wanted something that's not McDonald or any other fast food joint and this place popped up and is opened till 2am! It does share a parking lot with other restaurants in the same complex and there are additional parking in the back as well (kinda sketch though) We were greeted and seated right away and I asked if they're under new management since I saw a sign out front but our server barely spoke English so respectfully I was like oh don't worry about it We quickly placed our orders and got the corn cheese, seafood pancake, creamy kimchi udon and tofu stir fry kimchi and pork belly - Corn cheese was good a bit on the sweeter side - Seafood pancake was also good just a bit under cooked and not as crispy as some other places but still good - creamy kimchi udon this is delicious but they gave about 2 shrimps and maybe 3 pieces of pork (not sure if it was supposed to come with proteins at this point but for the price a bit more wouldn't hurt) - tofu w stirfry kimchi pork belly this is good and it balances out from the tofu to the salty pork kimchi The portion size is definitely shareable especially at the price point to for each dish so I would say it's pretty fair price Overall our time there was enjoyable, the atmosphere was fun, our server is very sweet, and the meal was good. I'll be back if I need another late night meal after a long trip

Kimchi Creamy Udon + Fried Chicken Wings

Was looking for some late night bites and went here for the first time. It was nice and cozy with a good amount of seating. We got the Creamy Udon, Corn Cheese, And Chicken Wings. Everything was good but what stood out to me was the price! Everything was quite expensive but what mattered most was the taste and this place definitely passed! The udon was very delicious with a good umami flavor and the chicken wings were nicely seasoned but had a lot of batter around it. Corn cheese was nice and cheesy with a crispy bottom.

Came here on a Saturday night at ~1:15am after a concert at the Tacoma dome. And one of the few places open that wasn't McDonald's. The staff and owner were very welcoming the moment we arrived. Once seated, we were informed that the kitchen was closing soon and should decide quick. But they were helpful in decide doing what to get. The banchans were good and held us over until the food came. It was a good selection too! Not high quality, but good. Also, the warm buckwheat tea hit the spot on a rainy night. Seafood pancake (~$23)- not much seafood. Only had a handful of calamari pieces and ~3 small shrimps. But it was fried well and sauce was good! Sweet and sour fried chicken (~$20)- it was half chicken and other half was rice cakes + sweet potato. It was good, but wish there was more chicken pieces for the price. We asked for 3 spicy, but I should've asked for less. Albeit my spice tolerance isn't high. Near the end of the meal, the owner came by and checked on us and made sure we were all good. She started chatting with us and treated us like her son/daughter. Super sweet owners and staff.

I love that this place stays open so late! The staff was super attentive and chatty. I went with a friend around 9-10pm and it was still pretty busy. The food is great! Fresh and delicious. Will def be coming back!

Stir-fried Squid and Pork Belly should be called stir-fried cabbage with mostly squid. Check the price then check my pictures before you commit to overpaying. Appalling.

Server burn my hand and leg

Did not expect to get burn tonight. My party of 6 came into to dine tonight. While we were waiting for our food the sever brought out blazing hot soup and accidentally pour it over all me. It had gotten over over my clothes, hand, and leg. It was very very hot and I was stunned and shocked by why happened to me that all I could do was say ow repeatedly three times... the server was not apologetic nor did she came back to check on me. To make matters worse she never refill any of our waters and tipped herself 50 dollars.. the service disappointed me tremendously. I am hurt and need advice on what to do. Should pursue legal action? We did not want to make a scene. I feel upset, frustrated, and unsettled. I do not recommend anyone I know even my enemies to go here!

Wow!! The food was delicious! Fair priced for the portions, plenty of ban Chan (this is all the stuff you get in the small plates) it was all delicious! The radish, fish cake and other stuff I can't remember what it's called. Great service from Christina! Very attentive, and friendly. The atmosphere is unique and I have never been to a place like this before. They have a bar and you find lots of Korean beer and Soju!! Will definitely be back!! Great experience and loved the food! The whole place was clean including the restroom.

We come for the food and drinks. We've tried the kimchi creamy udon (which I would recommend), chicken feet, bossam, spicy chicken, and omuyakisoba (wouldn't recommend - didn't know what I was expecting, but it was simply yakisoba with a layer of egg on top). Personally, the price seems a bit expensive, but compared to the other restaurants in the nearby area, it is relatively the same (and yes I do think the other restaurants are also a bit expensive). The outside is a bit dingy, but the inside is clean, spacious, and neat. Overall the food was good. I would go again.

Five stars for customer service! We came here on a Saturday evening for my niece's pre-birthday celebration. The manager took time to talk to us and even gave us a complimentary appetizer. The kimchi pancake was crispy! We will definitely come back.

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. Such kind service and the chef out did herself with her hotpot! The most flavorful, delicious dishes I have ever had. Wish I lived closer so I could go every day. Beautiful community and food!!

I really like this place, solid Korean jokbal (pig feet) I get the original and the spicy. Both are delicious. Portion sizes are plentiful as well.

I ordered the traditional mix beef bon broth soup with clear noodles and my bf got tofu soup with a side of dumplings. Tofu soup is ordinary! But the sullungtang is really rich and comfort. It was super cold outside so this soup was a perfect balance to it! The dumplings are well seasoned and the kimchi tho, do I need to say anything else? Tastes homemade and authentic! I will come back soon! Oh yeah don't forget to buy a jar of kimchi to bring home! Only $8.99 sooo good

We had ordered a seafood pancake, saw ours be given to another table that ordered later than us. We reminded the waitress once more and saw that one be given to another table as well. We reminded them one last time just to be told "it's coming." At that point, we have been dining in for 45 minutes, finished our soups and just ended up wanting to cancel that order (even though we were looking forward to it). We went up to the cash register and told the waitress to cancel the pajeon but she didn't believe us that it never came and that she had to check our table for herself. Not once were we ever checked up on, just overlooked and ignored... I want to say I like Yi's but I am apprehensive about coming back.

Pricey but delicious !!!…read more The location and the vibe around is just perfect for gathering with your group of friends and family . Not to mentioned, our server was amazing and patient with us since it was my first time. Although, she kinda knew us from the church she still treated us with respect like any other customer without any favoritism or whatesoever. She told me full details of the menu to which is usually ordered or popular at the moment, since I couldn't decide myself. I loved everything she recommended and can't wait to go back again. I specially loved the kalbi and pork tofu combo . We did get the stone bibimpap as well which was amazing !! And the seafood pancake . I think we ended up getting so much food that we ended up just sharing whole just enjoying each others company. My order: ( in the photo) Pork Tofu Soup 돼지고기 순두부 with kalbi combo! And Seafood Pancake 해물파전 The others ordered the half and half chicken and hot Hot-Stone Bi-Bim-Bap 나물돌솥비빔밥 . The side dishes was the best too and I love the kimchi specially. Can't wait to try other dish next time.

Both times I've been here, it's always been very busy, but I've never had to wait for a table because they have a ton of seating. Even though it's pretty packed here, it's easy to have a conversation. The staff here are also pretty friendly and the food comes out quickly (though I wish the banchan would come out sooner). The food here is probably some of the best Korean food I've had in the greater Seattle area. I can think of maybe one other place that I would put on the same level as here. While I would argue that this is on the pricier end, I think the food quality really makes up for it. The kimchi made in-house is fantastic, and I've actually purchased some outside of the meal to take home to snack on later. I like the kimchi pancake and my go-to bibimbap is fresh and filling. Overall, Seoul Tofu House is a great spot, I wish they had another location somewhere up north. But for now, whenever I'm in the area this is my spot.

Been here twice now. First time we tried just the whole…read morefried chicken. Second time we tried 1/2 and 1/2, fried and yangnyum. Fried chicken was great. Super crispy and crunchy but not a ton of meat a more breading. It felt small for a half a chicken or even a whole chicken. Not sure what size chicken they use for "whole" chicken. Yangnyum was good but the chicken was not coated too well. Top ones barely had any sauce and bottom ones were drenched in sauce. I wish they would toss it in sauce a little more evenly. I do also wish they would include the 1 side radish with each order as for Korean fried chicken place, radishes come with chicken as a standard item. Like ketchup for fries. The online ordering was easy and effortless and was done a few minutes earlier than promised which was great. The employee was nice and I was able to pick up my order right away. Overall, I do like this place and will return but wish they could improve on some stuff like making sure sauce is evenly coated on all sauce based chicken.

I remember when this shop first opened, when the owners were running it themselves (I believe…read morehusband and wife). Back then, customers were treated with care, attention to detail mattered, and the restaurant was clean and well-kept. My visit in 2025 was a great experience. Unfortunately, as of February 2026, that standard is no longer being met. This restaurant is small, so cleanliness should be manageable, yet it did not smell good and did not look clean. The bright lighting that once enhanced the experience now did the opposite, making the dirt on the baseboards, walls, and chairs very noticeable. Standing there waiting for service, I couldn't help but think: if the front looks like this, what does the kitchen look like? I'm writing this review as an update on how Chicko's is doing since the grand opening. If you look at my previous review, you'll see how excited and satisfied I was during my first visit. There are new hours, which isn't an issue. However, the kitchen closes at 9:30 PM. I arrived before 9:30, but there were no employees at the front. I stood there for several minutes with extremely loud music playing and couldn't even call out for help. After waiting, I started taking photos for this review. A few minutes later, at 9:32, an employee came out and told me I could not order because the kitchen had closed at 9:30. This same employee has been here recently and appears to be newer. She is often wearing headphones or looking at her phone. While that's common these days, it doesn't come across as professional or attentive to customers. For context, I'm a regular customer. I eat here and also pick up orders for DoorDash as a side hustle. I come in multiple times a week and have done so consistently since the shop opened. Despite that, I'm treated like a stranger--interactions feel robotic and not genuine. That's disappointing, especially since the business once felt like the owners truly cared. It's also unfortunate that the young man who worked here around October is no longer employed. He treated customers very well, whether they were ordering food or picking up deliveries, and he was consistently kind and professional. If you're only coming for the food, it's still good, and this may still be your spot. But if you're looking to become a regular, expect consistency, and feel confident the restaurant is clean every time, I can't confidently recommend it anymore. At least, it's no longer the spot for me. Because of this, I'll be looking for a new chicken restaurant in Federal Way. I don't support family-owned businesses that lose their focus on cleanliness, service, and care while only chasing profit.

We were also misled in the fact that we thought we could get fried chicken here only to find out they don't have it on their menu anymore. This was during a Friday evening around 6pm, and my friend and I got seated immediately since the restaurant was empty. You've got a lot of tables inside that are relatively clean and seat mostly groups of 4 or so. News in Korean is playing on a TV nearby, and the interior just feels calming with the uniform wooden floors and tables. Menu is limited here though most of it is for their traditional hangover soups. My friend and I wanted some meat dishes so we got both their spicy pork and beef bulgogi on sizzling grills. Both meats came sizzling when brought to our table, though they weren't piping hot from what I remember. Spicy pork was hard to chew at times, and my friend had to spit out one piece because it was too hard. It wasn't too spicy though I think it would have benefited from more spice since the flavor wasn't too strong. The beef bulgogi was both of our favorites, though the color wasn't too appealing and I felt there was a ton of liquid, as if the beef was plated before all the water evaporated from the pan. Service was top-notch for both of us, though. Staff were attentive in answering our questions, grabbing our utensils and getting us water when we asked. I felt this was a one-off visit because we didn't get the dishes this place is more well-known for, so I'll come back again to have their hangover soups instead.

I had too much chicken and side dishes (which they regularly replenished!) to really have much of it, but what I had was clear and tasty. I'm not really in this area much, but I'd recommend it to others! The location is a little odd and tucked away in a closed plaza, but plenty of parking and the food is good and the staff is quick.
