Unfortunately, Robert was not skilled in handling difficult high-conflict personalities like my ex. Robert allowed my ex to burn up half of our retainer making phone calls directly to him. Yes, I was billed for many many calls my ex made to Robert without me. We got nowhere in our mediation but spent close to $10,000 and it often didn't seem like there was an adult in the room guiding us when things broke down (I gave this feedback to Robert after my ex fired him). I was at a party in Berkeley during this process and a woman gasped when I said I was working with Terris. "Save your money," she said, slipping another mediator's card into my hand. I would say the same thing if I met you at a party. Save your money.
