A Chimney Sweep and technician came over and showed us a lot of pictures detailing the damage and explained everything to us. A lot of trust is involved as I am not going on the steep roof to touch this chimney. Once we made the repair appointment, Four Winds took care of everything. The worker and supervisor kept us informed as the work progressed. I've had them back for the first annual inspection and everything is working as it should be. The office staff are easy to work with and scheduled annual check-ups on my new chimney. I feel their pricing is fair and reasonable. Why did I wait 2 years to write a review? I'm used to city contractors letting me down. So I've been waiting for something to go wrong. It hasn't!! This company does what it says it will do and they do it well. A plus? Every time they visit I get to shake hands with a real Chimney Sweep and receive blessings of good luck. How can you go wrong?

We booked it and from beginning to end, it was smooth sailing with them. They consistently told me what was going on, where there technicians were and how much longer the work would be, each day. We had several different crews at different stages in the process and each and every one was great! They showed up on time, text to let us know they were coming, set up protective plastic sheets in the house, wore boot covers while in the house and worked hard each day. I paid $140 and was disappointed to find that they while they had cleaned the Flue Liner, they had not cleaned the creosote from the brick in the Smoke Chamber. I have left 4+ messages and did finally speak with a person who assured me that they would return my call which has not yet happed. I have attempted to reach out to this business but they appear not interested in responding to my concerns. I frustration, I have also submitted a complaint to the Better Business Bureau and will probably end up buying a chimney brush at Home Deport and finish the work myself. The owner showed up at my home and the first thing I noticed was he smelled of alcohol as he greeted me. He said he remembered my house from a previous owners call for service a few years back. I have a wood stove in my basement and he went to "Inspect" it. What he did was open the door of the stove peer inside with a flashlight and said this looks fine, like it hasn't been used lately (It was but not by me but by the previous owner I bought the house in April of this year). He talked a bit and among other things told me the stove pipe going into the wall could easily be removed, but he never removed it to look in the flu. He then said he would go up top and have a look down to see what it looked like from there. This gave me some concern as he was clearly under the influence. I heard him on the roof briefly but have no idea if he really looked down the flu or did any type of inspection as he was off the roof before I could even get outside. He said I was fine to burn wood and use the stove and he would give me a receipt stating it was fine to use and that he had completed an inspection. He was going to charge me $79.95 for this service but he said give him $60 cash and he would mark it paid in full. I did and he left. I later went down to the stove and pulled out the pipe, which he never did, and discovered 1 inch of creosote and soot on the thimble pipe going into the flu. I looked into the thimble and flu with my camera and discovered that the thimble and the first segment of the flu had huge cracks. He never looked in there but was willing to give me a paper saying he inspected it and it was fine. I later purchased a cleaning brush myself and did the job and emptied a bucket full of soot from the cleaning. I just had another chimney inspector come out and he told me it WAS NOT good to burn. I would not trust Lake Erie sweeps to do anything at my home. He seemed like a nice guy, told me he had recently lost his son so maybe he is grieving. However, when I've told this story to a few others in the business they knew exactly who I was talking about... Bottom line I lost $60 for nothing of value in return. I struggled about writing this review because I felt a bit sorry for the guy but for safeties sake I felt compelled to give notice.

The picture showed the skylight frame separated and he fixed/repaired. Using his underlayment paper and my roofing shingles left over from a reroofing job performed 8 years ago, he tore out the old paper and reshingled. TG also installed a bathroom exhaust the same day. Very happy with the immediate service and extra work TG performed. We've several downpours since then and no problems. Very fair prices without gouging because of my circumstances.

Luckily, I found Luis, who came the same day. He immediately cleared the clog and cleaned out all of the gutters thoroughly.
