After the surgeon at a very reputable organization questioned why I might want reconstruction after the obvious mastectomy, I was crushed and I spent entire summer looking for help. Finally in September, I was directed to Dr. Anh Lee. She told me I wasn't a candidate for a lumpectomy or implant due to the location of my tumors. But her office manager, Carla, was already on the phone seeing if I qualified for the Diep Flap surgery. This involves taking one's own belly fat and making breasts immediately after the mastectomy. I did qualify and I had it done on Sept. 26th. I am eternally grateful to Dr. Lee and her staff. There is an air of compassion in every fiber of the office. Attention to detail and concern.
