This is a real Aladdin's Cave of fun things. You can barely take a step without tripping over, and it's a refresing change from modernised, minimalist charity shops (not that Oxford is lacking interesting charity shops). You can find some real gems in here. My friend enjoys hunting out obscure 1930s musical scores, but it's just as good for fancy dress outfits, normal clothes, CDs, hats, books and even the odd wedding dress! Even just general clothes are quite plentiful here. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Don't fall into the trap of thinking that a shop called 'Age Concern' is full of second-hand things for old people with that distinctive charity-shop smell; it's great for presents, odd finds, or even if you just want to buy a treat for yourself without regretting spending a huge amount later. read more
