The following day they arrived to do an inspection and quote. They gave us a flat rate quote for the work very quickly. They arrived on time - the two men were very friendly, clean cut and professional. And they helped us deal with NS Power. They even did a few extra jobs - fixing grounding in our bedrooms and oven receptacle for a minimal additional cost. We were so impressed with the excellent service of Benoit Electric. Thinking I'd have to wait until Monday to get someone out here, I asked if it was enough to tape over it so no one would use it till then, or shut the breaker off that controls that switch. They sent Dan, an electrician, out. He arrived in about a half hour, replaced the bad switch, and did a few other jobs for us while here (replaced a light fixture, replaced a defunct smoke detector, and checked on another fixture for us. Dan was very efficient and glad to answer any questions we had. We called Evergreen with an online search, hoping we picked a good one. We did.

I tried to bleed the lines, but didn't get all the air out before the boiler shut off, and I was too scared to push the button again. He did not have to help me over the phone, he could have charged me a bunch of money to send someone out to do it for me. I asked them to leave the top soil removed in a pile that I had to tear up some sod and re seed a big area of my lawn. They figured "meh, it will take him a day with a shovel and take us 5 minutes with the excavator." and just removed the sod and even carted it away, then filled and graded it for me. No charge. Friendly guy too. They're a bit booked up in peak season, but if you're good, who isn't? It feels good to leave a positive review of a kijiji-found contractor for once. Highly reccomended.
