Awesome experience!!! The service was great our server was attentive, he even took our order by memory. He was super nice. We came during the lunch special. It was a lot of food for the money. The food was good, I just wish the taco that came with the burrito lunch was a street taco. I will be back and the ambiance is of a typical Mexican restaurant, cute the the margarita was good. Fantastic made in house Mole Sauce , recipe from Grandma strait outta Veracruz Mexico. A thick rich sauce smothered 3 Shredded Chicken Tinga Enchiladas. She had the lunch Chicken Quesadilla on the cheap, spot on wonderful. I really like my Mole Sauce with some heat spicy, still a very good sauce. Highly recommend this dish, coming we Rice and Beans. I have visited this establishment on multiple occasions. The food is consistently fantastic. My favorites are the pollo con chorizo, pollo loco, mole enchiladas (mole is on another level; prepared by one of the cooks who is from Puebla), guacamole, and the chicken tortilla soup. I am working my way through the menu. Paulie is a fantastic host. He runs an extremely clean restaurant with consistently high quality menu choices, and the waitstaff is very friendly. When you get there you will notice the parking area is SMALL and by small I mean there was about 20 cars in the parking lot and we had to park down the street and walk there. Good luck getting parking on a Saturday night if you don't go early. When you walk in it looks nice, it definitely has more seating than what the parking lot allows you to park at. We got seating right away. They brought out some Chips and Salsa and when the chips and salsa are phenomenal usually the food is too. this was very much not the case. I ordered the Enchiladas Agave & the wife had the Taco Salad. The food took some time to get here which doesn't bother me because I thought it takes time to make good food. The chicken inside the Enchiladas had no flavor, it tasted like the chicken was boiled and then served. It just didn't taste good at all. It was packed with a lot of accessories of food but Bonnie of it had flavor. I was not at all pleased with it, then the wife had the taco salad and it just had square chunks of meat in it and lots of lettuce but no beans or rice and I know every taco salad I have ever seen had beans & rice at the bottom of it and this has none of that. On top of that the service was very slow, I asked for hot sauce 3 different times and it took them nearly 20 minutes to bring me a bottle of hot sauce. To me the food and the service was not worth it in my opinion, I have had Taco Bell that tasted better. This was a one and done for me. read more

First time in for dinner with friends and we were impressed. Very nice ambiance and was very clean. Seated quickly with chips and salsa and we ordered the cheese sauce for dipping. All very good. We ordered the Chicken Fahitas, burritos specials and burrito agave. All were very good. I added the melted cheese on top of my fajitas. Service was good also and our waitress kept our drinks full. I have been wondering how this place was but was reluctant to try it because it seems like when I look over there there's not many cars. But today we decided to give it a try and again when we pulled in the parking lot there was only a couple cars there so we started to go somewhere else. But I said why not just give it a try it's close. I'm so glad that I did when I tell you that this was the best the absolute best Mexican food I've had down river thus far. Everything was very very tasty and seasoned the salsa and chips where the bomb the guacamole was totally delicious and seasoned. The drinks were just as wonderful and so was the service. The atmosphere was very nice and authentic and I can't wait to go back. They give you a lot of food as well so everyone enjoy their food I'm so glad we didn't go by how many people that was in the restaurant even though I have read the good reviews. This is my new favorite spot up the street from my house so I don't have to travel far for good Mexican food. read more

Do you love authentic Mexican food? Well this the new restaurant you MUST visit. Staff was so friendly, plenty of parking, generous portions, affordable lunch menu. The restaurant has been totally remodeled, it's so comfortable and spacious. My friend and I had a great time, our food was so delicious.. Oh their chips and salsa are delicious too. Our meals came quickly and really we could have shared, such a generous portion. Can't wait to go back and try their margaritas. Did I mention, they have a full service bar! The only reason they get 1 star is because they have decent wait staff but the big guy that seems to run the place was really rude! There was something plastic like from a package in my food and he was so rude and unprofessional and refused to get me a new plate of food or refund or discount or anything! The bathrooms were disgusting as well, I am sure the place has bugs! read more

Since they opened I was going by and asking could the food be good here?? Soooooo let me just say the food the staff the ambience was great. I am very picky love my authentic Mexican and they had some additional dishes that hit the spot (Carne en su Jugo) Steak and bean soup haven't had that since being in Mexico. The food was excellent and completely blew us away. Our waitress told us everything is made fresh in-house, except for the tortillas. I had the chicken tortilla soup and chicken enchiladas Mexicanos. My boyfriend had the burrito special with beef. We split an order of flautas de tinga, which were nice and crispy on the outside and deliciously spicy within. The service was fantastic, from the moment we stepped through the door, to the moment we left. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. No phony half hearted "welcome to Agave" while eyeballing me sizing me up to determine tip ability. Be careful of asking for a recommendation for a shot of Anjeho tequila, as you may be faced with a selection of choices all to good to pass up. We ordered the Molcoheta bowl which came out hot and perfectly cooked. The roasted serano pepper was like pepper lover candy. More than enough food for two people to share.
