Fantastic made in house Mole Sauce , recipe from Grandma strait outta Veracruz Mexico. A thick rich sauce smothered 3 Shredded Chicken Tinga Enchiladas. She had the lunch Chicken Quesadilla on the cheap, spot on wonderful. I really like my Mole Sauce with some heat spicy, still a very good sauce. Highly recommend this dish, coming we Rice and Beans. They finally have a Taco Tuesday special on the cheap $5.74 gets you 3 Taco's, gonna check it soon. #agavegrillandbar @agavegrillandbar #moleenchaladas #molesauce #quesadilla #veracruzrestaurante

I have visited this establishment on multiple occasions. The food is consistently fantastic. My favorites are the pollo con chorizo, pollo loco, mole enchiladas (mole is on another level; prepared by one of the cooks who is from Puebla), guacamole, and the chicken tortilla soup. I am working my way through the menu. Paulie is a fantastic host. He runs an extremely clean restaurant with consistently high quality menu choices, and the waitstaff is very friendly. One of my favorite restaurants in the area.

When you get there you will notice the parking area is SMALL and by small I mean there was about 20 cars in the parking lot and we had to park down the street and walk there. Good luck getting parking on a Saturday night if you don't go early. When you walk in it looks nice, it definitely has more seating than what the parking lot allows you to park at. We got seating right away. They brought out some Chips and Salsa and when the chips and salsa are phenomenal usually the food is too. this was very much not the case. I ordered the Enchiladas Agave & the wife had the Taco Salad. The food took some time to get here which doesn't bother me because I thought it takes time to make good food. The chicken inside the Enchiladas had no flavor, it tasted like the chicken was boiled and then served. It just didn't taste good at all. It was packed with a lot of accessories of food but Bonnie of it had flavor. I was not at all pleased with it, then the wife had the taco salad and it just had square chunks of meat in it and lots of lettuce but no beans or rice and I know every taco salad I have ever seen had beans & rice at the bottom of it and this has none of that. On top of that the service was very slow, I asked for hot sauce 3 different times and it took them nearly 20 minutes to bring me a bottle of hot sauce. To me the food and the service was not worth it in my opinion, I have had Taco Bell that tasted better. This was a one and done for me.

PROS: The servers were friendly and prompt service. The prices are reasonable. Also, the restaurant was neat and clean. CON: The stoneware plates were hot although food on the plate was barely warm.

The Quesabirria so cheesy and delicious .

Everything was delicious and taste very fresh. Staff members were friendly and worked together to make sure customers were taking care of while dining in. Dining area was clean and the music playing wasn't to loud. Already planning my next trip back with family.

First time in for dinner with friends and we were impressed. Very nice ambiance and was very clean. Seated quickly with chips and salsa and we ordered the cheese sauce for dipping. All very good. We ordered the Chicken Fahitas, burritos specials and burrito agave. All were very good. I added the melted cheese on top of my fajitas. Service was good also and our waitress kept our drinks full. Nice job Agave! We will be back.

I have been wondering how this place was but was reluctant to try it because it seems like when I look over there there's not many cars. But today we decided to give it a try and again when we pulled in the parking lot there was only a couple cars there so we started to go somewhere else. But I said why not just give it a try it's close. I'm so glad that I did when I tell you that this was the best the absolute best Mexican food I've had down river thus far. Everything was very very tasty and seasoned the salsa and chips where the bomb the guacamole was totally delicious and seasoned. The drinks were just as wonderful and so was the service. The atmosphere was very nice and authentic and I can't wait to go back. They give you a lot of food as well so everyone enjoy their food I'm so glad we didn't go by how many people that was in the restaurant even though I have read the good reviews. This is my new favorite spot up the street from my house so I don't have to travel far for good Mexican food.

I talked to the manager and he said they did start adding a sauce or salsa. It ruined my favorite dish that we came there for 37 years before Covid. We all would get it. My family decided to celebrate my husband's birthday there very recently I decided what can go wrong with my second favorite Chicken Fajitas. Well, the below is what I got. Only a couple little green pepper pieces, a couple onion pieces and more tomato pieces than both peppers and onions. Where are the peppers and onions? This picture is the whole meal all burnt and dry. This is such a downgrade from a typical fajita. I dipped a chicken piece in sour cream to wash it down, it was dry. I brought it home and my son ate it and couldn't believe what he saw when I said it was Chicken fajitas. He hated it, it lacked all the flavors that make it good and it was hard to chew. I've tried a lot of foods there, I am not fond of anything but the 2 loyal dishes I loved. Both have been destroyed. If you add salsa to a chimichanga then you won't notice a difference but if you don't you certainly will notice the flavor change. For 37 years it was our favorite place, now it's the very bottom of a list of places to eat, actually we have nothing to order from there anymore. I couldn't even enjoy the hot tea, I asked for lemon and was told you don't have any but gave me a lime ruined the tea! I read on one review you said it's the same as it always was there but you're wrong, chimichangas are not as they used to be after adding the red sauce in it, lemons gone, dry fajitas without peppers and onions you can actually taste and see. Your quality of food has definitely changed for the worst, regardless of you saying otherwise. I will not tell people how great your place is anymore but tell them not to go if they're expecting the chimichangas they've loved for years, because they're gone. 2 different restaurants with Chicken fajitas 2 different presentations- which is more desirable looking. And yes this is the amount of fajitas minus 1 small piece of chicken on the last picture that Mexican Gardens gave, for $20- with a little guacamole, sour cream and rice on a side plate. Price is not justifiable to us considering the quality of this dish I got. The last 2 times we went the restaurant wasn't even half full, which is odd considering every other time in the past before past 2 years we had to wait quite a while to get in and not hardly any empty seats. With a table for 8 it took about 5-10 minutes to put it together. The only 2 times in 37 years the restaurant wasn't full and it was a weekend when it's usually very packed in the past, and those 2 times were within about 6 weeks recently this year. So sad it used to be one of the very best, we passed over all other Mexican restaurants to go there, not anymore. So sorry to leave this horrible review but thats how bad our experience was.
