My roadside assistance provider booked A-Plus to jump start my completely dead battery. The guy…read moresaid he'd be 35-40 minutes but finally arrived after one hour. That's 20-25 minutes late, maths fans. He hooked up his jump start machine to my car and immediately told me to try starting it. Didn't work. He tried to tell me it was my starter (clearly it wasn't) and when I asked him if I could get it hooked up for a bit before trying to start again - you know, so the battery could actually get some juice - he huffed real big and hooked it back up. Not 30 seconds later, he told me to start it. This too failed, since my battery was completely dead, and then he just ripped his clamps off the battery and repeated his assertion that it was my starter. Since he wasn't interested in helping me and didn't want to be there anyway, I just let him walk. On the plus side, my bad experience with A-Plus led me to Alan at Affordable Towing, who was super nice, showed up earlier than projected, and actually gave my car time to benefit from the battery pack he hooked up to it. Just call them instead.

My car was damaged when I drove by an A+ Towing vehicle on 9/27/19. They were very nice and asked…read moreme to send them 2 estimates. I did so and now they won't answer the phone unless I call from a different area code. They asked me to send my address, which I did, and once again I have heard nothing and they won't answer the phone. Please avoid this company, because they do not take responsibility for their actions.

To begin, my vehicle had been towed by this company on a Friday mid-afternoon. The initial towing…read moreyielded no problems, and I was prepared to pick it up as early as Friday evening. I had tried to contact the business several times via phone, which was supposedly the correct way to handle the situation, as I was told by the truck operator that they answer calls 24 hours a day. The several times I called late Friday afternoon (4:30-5:00PM), no one picked up and there was no option to leave a message; just several rings, then the phone hanging up. I tried calling their business yet again on Saturday morning to no avail. I then decided to pick the car up on Monday, since there was no chance they would answer on Sunday. THIS IS WHERE IT GETS INTERESTING. Around 8:30 AM Monday morning, my fiancee, my grandparents, and I show up to the OMT office to pick up the car. We had a few questions regarding the bill ($205 total, $100 for towing and $105 for storage), mainly that we had tried to contact them and pick the vehicle up both Friday afternoon and Saturday morning, to which they disputed. Our line of logic was that if they're open on regular business hours and fail to answer a phone call, that is a problem incurred by them. We had to physically look up the call logs on our phones to show them, just so they would believe us. Once shown the evidence, they insisted we were wrong and they we had NOT called them ("We would have known if you had tried to call us."), therefore the three days in storage would not be lessened (even if the cause for the three day storage was their ineptitude). After swallowing that bit of news, we had given them a card to run so we could go about our lives. The payment went through and we had a receipt printed, so essentially the transaction was finished, or so we had thought. As my fiancee reached for the key to the vehicle, a gentleman (I use the term VERY loosely) working at the counter violently grabbed my fiancee's arm and proceeded to raise his voice to a yell in telling her that she "Needed to sign the form!" While this was going on, a female (again, using the term VERY loosely) walked up from the back and proceeded to yell at all four of us (fiancee, grandparents, and I), using a variety of profanities and threats. Luckily, we were able to sign the form (very quickly) and get the keys to the vehicle without any further assault. It has been approximately seven hours since the incident and she still has visible finger-shaped welts on her arm, thus, we are looking at legal recourse currently. I have decided to do the public a service in leaving this detailed review on our situation, so hopefully the people of Branson and the surrounding areas don't ever have to deal with these unprofessional, inconsiderate, swindlers. If I could leave a word of advice for potential customers, try any other towing company besides Ozark Mountain Towing. Your wallet and your sanity will thank you.
