Breaking down while driving across country from California to Maryland was a nightmare! But I am so glad I broke down where I did and was sent McGuire's Towing by my rental company. It was by far the smartest thing my rental company did during the entire break down! I can't say enough wonderful things about McGuire's towing!! The tale of two experiences....let me set the stage, my new 2025 Ford Explorer would not go into…read moredrive after I dropped my son off at school & I was heading to work. 1) I called Bill Cole: service didn't answer, but did get a call back. Said we could get to you Wednesday, you have to bring to us & no help until they saw it. To summarize: super crappy customer service and interaction. 2) called Glockner South Point: service walked me through fixes, tried to remote in, told me I had Ford Roadside and helped me get a truck in the way and said they would work me in this very afternoon. To summarize: Lifesaver. Do not deal with people that don't care and only care want $$$. Run away from Bill Cole.

I'm Done Being Quiet -- A Warning to Anyone Thinking About Buying a Ford (Especially from Bill Cole…read moreFord in Ashland) Let me start by saying I hate calling out businesses. My dad ran his own, and I know how hard that life is. But what I've experienced with Ford, and more specifically Bill Cole Ford in Ashland, has been so outrageous, so infuriating, and honestly so disgusting, that I can't stay quiet anymore. If this post stops even one person from going through what I did, it's worth it. I bought a Ford EcoSport, and at just 26,000 miles, the transmission failed. That's ridiculous. But it gets worse -- when they "fixed" it, they didn't even put enough transmission fluid in the car. That careless mistake caused even more issues down the line. Still, somehow, I gave them another chance. When I went in for a simple oil change, they talked me into looking at new cars -- and I made the mistake of driving off the lot with a Ford Escape. Big mistake. Since then, I've taken the Escape to the Bill Cole Ford service department FIVE times. Let me be blunt: I've never dealt with a group that showed less care or professionalism. * I've begged to speak to a service manager, and no one has ever called me back. * Last week, my car sat at their service department from Tuesday to Saturday, and I didn't get a single update. When someone finally called, it was to ask why I hadn't picked up my car -- as if I was the one dropping the ball! * They claimed they "fixed" it after driving it 40 miles -- but the moment I got back on the road, every sensor lit up again. All they did was run down my gas and waste more of my time. * And of course, when I called back again -- radio silence. No return call. No resolution. I've completely given up on getting anything fixed at this point. I'm beyond disappointed -- I'm disgusted. This whole experience has been one giant, expensive lesson. So here it is, plain and simple: Do not buy a Ford. And whatever you do, DO NOT buy one from Bill Cole Ford in Ashland. The cars are unreliable, and the service is absolutely shameful. Thanks for letting me vent. I wouldn't wish this mess on anyone.

I have always had a positive experience with this mechanic. His prices are extremely reasonable,…read morebut more importantly, he is an honest man. I had a faulty battery that was less than a year old, and my car was showing multiple problems on the dash. Each time I would take it and have a diagnostic ran, it came up as a new issue. I took my vehicle to this shop fully expecting to spend quite a lot fixing multiple issues; however, they identified that my battery was the culprit. I did have one sensor that was malfunctioning. I was charged a small amount for labor and the price of the part. Since my battery was under warranty, I had it replaced for free. This shop could have easily told me that I needed to spend, at least, $1,000 to repair my car. I would have expected it. I even told them I fully expected a major issue and showed them the diagnostic tests. This shop did the reputable thing and charged an extremely fair price instead of gouging a customer. Unfortunately, that is a rare find in a mechanic.

A little later he told her he couldn't find a leak but he rotated them. She left & her car notified her that a tire had low pressure. She went to another tire shop, they found a small nail but that tire was still on the same side & location before stopping at Gate City. He did NOT even rotate those tires. He lied to that precious 86 yr. old lady. What a pathetic, low life!! My brother, a regular customer, spoke to the owner twice about what his mechanic did not do, yet lied to her. He could at least offer to pay my mom back what she had to pay another tire shop to rotate her tires & fix the small leak But he didn't. "fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me".
