I was happy so I thought I would call them again because my daughter is moving yet again. So I called and I spoke to Nick. I explained that I just needed her stuff moved into a storage place and he then said that they actually can move her stuff into a crate sort of thing and store it for us until she is ready to move again and then just bring the crate over. I have actually never heard of this so I agreed to let him go to her place and see what all needed to be stored and go from there. He told me that it would take 3 hours to move her little one bedroom apartment into a crate and it would cost me $400 plus anywhere from $80-100 per month to stor it. WTH! When they moved her previously, it took them 1 hours to load up her stuff...drive over to her new apartment...and unload everything. I paid $145.00. This was about a year ago. NOW its going to take 3 hours? What the hell kind of since does that make. I also requested a quote to just move her stuff to a storage facility (not theirs) and then the he told me it would be $500. I said "Excuse me, I am just a little in shock her because I have used you all two times before to move her and I think I paid around $150." He then told me that they charge by the hour and it was going to take 3-4 hours to move her items. All she literally has is: a queen size bed, dresser, desk, entertainment center, dining room table and 4 chairs, and a washer and dry. How does that take 3-4 hours to move it? So I told Nick that maybe I was wrong and had used someone different before and that I didn't think that $400-500 to move an apartment is in my budget and he hung up on me! Rude. So then I look at my receipt previously and it the total was $145.00 and it took them an hour. Nick is the owner of the company so there is no one else to talk to but this is just extreme. We are a small town and you have been here for a long time. You should not be trying to rip off the people of this small town Nick. The reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 is because the employees did a good job.

It was a pleasure working with them. They even agreed to stop by the leasing office and move the 25 boxes I had mailed from Alaska to San Angelo and bring them to my apartment. I paid for the transaction via credit card after the move was completed. The movers moved everything 1.5 hour earlier than anticipated. I was however, a little annoyed with the owner, the person who works in the office when I told her what I wanted moved and how many hours I was willing to pay for the move. She seemed to think I would need more hours to pay for the move. For me, it was not debatable and in fact, Mondo and his crew finished as quickly as possible.

We messaged him, called him, then he blocked all of our numbers, Made only excuses said he would send us a contact saying that he would pay to have it fixed, then 5 days later hasn't sent anything then said he isn't going to sign anything because he doesn't know if the damage was done before the move then told us that it was a side gig even though we called during business hours and he came during business hours, and he told us that he brought "Random people from Home Depot that needed work" he never notified that this wasn't his business, nor that he wasn't bringing professional help. We are suing for damages. He would not give Insurance, an email, and blocked the numbers. He told us that he didn't sign a contract even though we have Verbal and text messages which is a contract. I highly doubt he has insurance because he refused to hand it over but we will find that out in court. We had more blankets and were extremely thick that they didn't use. When we got to Denver at least 90% of my stuff was damaged. What's worse I paid $460 for the service. The owner was non-apologetic and is only refunding half of what I paid. Stay right there with the movers for the entire time. I didn't do this and lost a full 1.5 hours. Returned and found the person in charge wandering around looking at the clouds. 2. Request information about prior time-management issues regarding employees who will be in charge of your move. I didn't do this and again lost 1.5 hours. 3. Be ready to swear a lot. 4. Be prepared to have a plan in mind especially if moving things into storage. I was shocked to see that the movers had put very heavy boxes on top of light-weight boxes containing fragile items. Again, be ready to swear (cuss). 5. Be prepared to find all sorts of damage when unpacking. You'll probably swear about this too, perhaps even drink. 6. Be prepared to spend at least $300 more than anticipated. Just over budget an excessive amount, so you won't flip completely out as I did. 7. Don't think that just because you received great service from them once before that it will happen that way again. 8. Be sure that you go directly to their office to file any complaint, take photos and keep a full record. 9. OR... Simply select a different moving company for you moving needs!

If not for the experience itself but the lack of transparency, respect and urgency towards their customers. I booked Joe's Movers through Facebook Messenger on July 5, at 1438. I explained to whomever runs the page that I needed Movers for about 2 hours in order to load a 22ft. Penske truck on base at Dyess Air Force Base. My husband just had a hernia repair and is on a lifting restriction and was unable to help. I wanted to book these Movers so my dad who traveled 23 hours didn't have to break his back moving boxes after he traveled so hard to help us move. He successfully booked us for 2 hours on July 24th at 9 am. He assured me on many occasions that his people have been on base before without a problem and that they would be willing to meet me at the Dyess VCC for a visitors pass. With that being said, for those who don't know military families are OFTEN on tight moving schedules and plan their moves wildly in advance to accommodate a certain number of travel days. The first red flag should have been zero confirmation the night before. I reached back out to said Facebook page and asked for confirmation morning of that we still had Movers. I received a call from who I assume to be Joe stating that he found out a few days prior that he had a gentleman lose his id and could no longer get on base. He also mentioned he had a few people quit and he himself was out of town. He only had one mover for us and was having issues finding anymore. He understood my frustration and even though it was crappy we were willing to work with it in exchange for a drop in price. I was told that the one guy would come and meet at the VCC like planned. I waited at the VCC with no responses to multiple texts, fb messages and a call. Joe called back and let me know that even though he was already late our mover was picking up a uhaul for the next move, dollys, and a company vehicle. I explained to Joe I was very frustrated about the fact we booked them at 9 am and it was close to 10:00 I explained that we were on a tight schedule as cleaners were to be coming at 12. Joe showed zero sympathy, urgency or understanding in the matter and shoved it off as being one of those days. I understand that matra but try being the military couple far from home, on a moving schedule, standing in front of a 22 ft truck you have tp fill yourself as your movers backed out. Joe's movers never called, he never showed up and Joe left my text messages on read knowing exactly I'm sure the limbo situation they left us in. Do not expect reliability or communication from this company. Deeply disappointed in the whole experience and not even as much of an explanation from the company.

His was packed by Ray's, while mine was packed several weeks later by United Van Lines out of Abilene. And wow, did that make a difference. Upon receiving his part of the household goods shipment, nothing of the furniture was wrapped. There is extensive damage to a wine cabinet, they somehow scraped the white paint off of my dining room table and chairs, destroyed a desk, and managed to lose all the hardware from my west elm daybed. The unpackers said it looked like they just hired some day laborers to pack everything. Things that weren't related were just thrown in boxes together. Extremely unprofessional not to wrap the furniture though. Now my boyfriend has to go through the DoD to try to process a claim, which can take months. Don't use this company.

My kids Legos were in little plastic containers that could have been easily placed in a small box, were dumped out ( plastic boxes found in another box unrelated) with our toilet brushes and cleaners mixed in with them. We had wardrobe boxes stuffed to the brim with misc items and then items that we had hanging (like my husbands service uniform) shoved and crumpled in a tiny box.
