The owner Mark sent John to our home bright and early with a list of general household tasks to complete prior to closing on our home. John was neat, organized and congenial to work with! He worked efficiently and to perfection on door installation, hardware on interior doors, plumbing and painting. John also fixed downspouts, gutters and caulking. Sunset Builders with Mark as the leader is a win win...all supplies necessary for the job were ordered on the spot, and delivered to our home within hours by Mark. No down time from getting all small tasks at hand completed. We intend on using them again ( & again) in the future and will enjoy working with Mark's team! Thanks so much Mark and John...it was a painless pleasure!

The job was not easy because of the 4 arches between the tapered columns. There were many angles and the cuts were complex and well executed. We are very pleased. They were slightly more expensive than other contractors but their superior quality and execution were well worth it. I Highly recommend them.

Will never use again and would never recommend. The most alarming part of my experience--and…read moresomething I've never encountered before--was the owner's reaction when I voiced concerns. The conversation escalated to the point of physical intimidation, with him getting as close to nose-to-nose as possible while yelling at me about my dissatisfaction. As a 68-year-old gentleman, this was genuinely frightening. Beyond that, the work done at my home was left with noticeable and unsightly holes and gaps. When we tried to address these issues, instead of explaining or offering solutions, the owner repeatedly insisted that the items "weren't on the estimate," even though we were never informed that these problems could occur or that they wouldn't be handled. After spending $2,500, we now have to hire another contractor to fix what was left undone--meaning everything they did will need to be ripped out and redone. As customers, we aren't the experts. We depend on clear communication from the professionals we hire. If a project change could result in something unattractive or incomplete, that should be explained before the work is done. Had we known the potential outcomes, we would have chosen a different approach entirely. Make sure every expectation--and any possible negative consequence--is clearly spelled out on the estimate. This experience showed us that what a company won't do is sometimes just as important as what they will do. Unfortunately, the lack of transparency and the confrontational response when we asked reasonable questions left us extremely unhappy with both the service and the final result.

RUN AWAY FAST......... These are NOT Professionals…read more I hired these guys to do my pool deck (strip, level, seal). They were nice guys, but their work was poor at most. I expected a crew of two pros to show up with the right tools and make it happen. Instead, Alex showed up with one other person, and basically showed him how to do the process on the spot. Then Alex took off, because he claimed his time was too valuable. While the worker-bee worked hard, he did a poor job of removing the original sealer, and took NO precautions to avoid getting product in my pool... They made a huge mess everywhere...!! I at the end of the day, when I saw the old sealer was still there and said i wasn't happy, Alex said the process would only be about 80% .. meaning this is the best we can do. I didn't accept this, so they made plans to return to do it again... after the second try, it wasn't much better.. So I sent paid them for the stripping job and sent them away.. I have since brought in a new Company who looked at it, and felt the say was as i did about... The new company had a 100% better policy and a 3 year guarantee. They came in and used the proper tools and process as professionals and made my patio look Brand New... which Eddie & Alex said they couldn't do... I'm not sure how Eddie and Alex are getting good reviews because they don't care about quality and getting the job right even though their prices are inline with pros that get it right... I would STAY FAR away from ever using these guys again.. they were a complete waste of money and caused me a lot of work to clean up after them...
