No accountability for their work, and poor follow through/organization…read more A few days after Jonathan fixed my issue, my gate started malfunctioning. I pressed the remote to close it and later discovered that it hadn't closed. It happened again a couple of days after that, but I was able to get it closed. It did it again a few days later. Then, a couple of days after that, I tried to close it and it closed then opened back up immediately. I tried another remote; same thing. I tried the app; same thing. I texted Jonathan (he'd given me his phone number and said to let him know if I ever needed help again) and told him what the gate had been doing. I asked him if maybe he'd needed to reprogram my remotes as part of his repair. He replied the next day, saying that he wasn't in the area, but that he'd have his office try to send me a technician. I thanked him and told him I'd try to find a time that worked for the technician. I never heard from anyone. The gate was still acting up. This morning, 6 days later, it wouldn't close at all. So I texted Jonathan again and told him I hadn't heard from anyone yet. A couple of hours went by and I got a phone call from his office. The woman said she'd call me back once she found a technician in the area who could come. Two hours later, my doorbell rings. It's a technician. Good thing I was home, since I hadn't been told a technician was coming or what time. I explained the situation to the technician and how it had started a couple of days after Jonathan's visit. The technician told me it would cost me $225 for diagnostics. I told him I wasn't going to pay for him to figure out a problem that his company seems to have caused. He said he would call the office to see what he could do. He called Jonathan, talked to him for a couple of minutes, then put me on the phone with him. Jonathan said that he had "only pressed the reset button" when he was here, and that this was a different issue. I told him I would be sending his technician home. The technician told Jonathan that I was nice and that he would see what he could do to help me. He got off the phone, then his conversation with me became "Jonathan was here weeks ago . . . We can't come out to press a button every time something goes wrong . . . this is a business . . . we can't work for free . . . we have to pay for gas and our time . . . I drove 40 minutes," etc. I told him I wouldn't be needing his services and that he could leave, because it was weird that the business wasn't taking any accountability or interest in investigating or correcting an issue that they most likely caused. He asked to take a look. And, lo and behold, the sensor camera next to the control box where Jonathan had been was misaligned. The technician realigned the camera, tested the remote, and the gate worked. Then Jonathan texted me to say, again, that all he'd done was press the reset button. He asked me if I "wanted [him] to diagnose it for free ? And if yes I can do it but what if you need to change some parts inside ? Now he [the technician] told me that the photo eye sensor was move , so please always check the light on the sensor if it's blue it's good and if it's red it's off the line , and usually can be fixed by moving the photo eye sensor with the hands a little bit. Just tip from me." I explained to Jonathan, as I had explained to the technician, that a business with integrity and pride in its work would've come to a recent customer who has an issue that has good odds of having been caused by their company with an attitude of "Let's take a look and see what might have happened," not "This is a new issue, wasn't us, we don't work for free, all I did was press a button" and taking a week to send a technician. Honestly, I imagine if they know gates and know what they're doing, Jonathan, when I first texted him a week ago, probably could've asked me to check the alignment of the cameras, and we'd have been done. Same for the technician. He seemed to know to check the sensor, but did that only after I didn't accept being charged $225 for "diagnostics." Never hiring this company again.

They have sister companies who they work with so you never know who is showing up. We hired socal, win company gave us the invoice and gates express showed up.socal garage and gate (CSLB 1081161) and Gates Express (CSLB 1081161). They are all family. First they installed a gate motor that is over 10 years old without disclosing it's refurbished. He said that we didn't ask, and they sell only refurbished. This is not disclosed anywhere and was not on the invoice. It's not even been 2 months and it's been non stop problems. The gate won't open, it'll open and shut again, it opens extremely slowly. We've had to call every other day or every week. David (Dudi) and Nick are not trustworthy. They say they offer solutions and will fix it but nothing is ever truly fixed. They say that it can take months before the gate will "learn" how to work properly. I don't have months and the average consumer does not want to call every day for a problem. Another solution was just to "ignore it" taking a minute to open. Then they started giving me attitude and accusing me of lying. Dudi offered a free (again refurbished) motor if we installed a 120v outlet outside and today denied he ever said that. Also when they installed the power line running to the garage was buried extremely shallow causing n multiple safety issues for exposure to elements, animals or trip risk. Further the gate can just be pushed open at any time. They said I should've asked for a locking mechanism I would need to pay extra. THEY NEVER SAID I NEEDED ONE! isn't it implied that the gate would not be easily pushed open? They did not present is a lawful CSLB contract. The list goes on and on. Before you hire a company look up it's numbers and research other affiliations. Do not choose this company. At this point I want it gone and a refund. I don't trust them, I don't feel comfortable with them coming to my home. They refused.

I decided to find a few vendors to install automatic gates for me, and I knew I wanted aluminum because it is much lighter and requires far less maintenance. I always have my assistant contact at least three vendors to compare pricing and to get a sense of whether they are truly knowledgeable. My assistant found two of the vendors and I gave her the information for IRON MEN gates to schedule the appointment. From the moment Elad came out on day one, I was extremely impressed. He has a genuine, down-to-earth personality, and he was serious, professional and clearly knowledgeable about every aspect of the project - exactly what I wanted to accomplish with my gate. The other vendors were much more focused on sales and pitching, rather than taking the time during the initial walkthrough to thoroughly review what I wanted. Elad's proposal was also significantly better in quality and detail. The turnaround time was fast, and it included clear drawings and detailed information about what would be done--something I had not seen from any other vendor I've hired for work around my house. At that point, I knew I wanted to move forward with them. There was some negotiation on pricing, but ultimately I felt the final cost was absolutely worth it. Once I signed the proposal, everything went into motion immediately. They ordered the materials and maintained strong communication throughout the entire process. Elad responded quickly whenever I reached out, and when questions or concern came up, he always had solutions and worked with me. I also had several change orders. They were very patient and accommodating, and importantly, they handled my requests without delaying the completion date by an additional month (which is common with many vendors). They were able to schedule everything effectively and still complete my gates with minimal delays. Every team member who came out -- electrician, the two smooth stucco pillars crew, and the aluminum gate installation team -- was professional, polite, and respectful. Construction projects are stressful by nature, but they were genuinely the easiest vendor I have ever worked with. The best part is that my aluminum gates look incredible. Everyone who passes by my home has commented on how good they look. I have only left a few reviews in my lifetime, and I rarely do unless a vendor truly exceeds expectations. I am very particular and somewhat of a perfectionist, so it was not easy for me to find someone I considered exceptional --but this was absolutely one of those cases. Elad listened carefully to what I wanted to create and brought it to life. They completely out-shined, out-performed, and out-classed them all. I am a very happy customer and will definitely be a returning customer!!!
