Other than one front office staff, everyone is very friendly and accommodating. Andy, in particular, is one of the best dental hygienist that I have encountered. He is completely bilingual (English and Korean). He is very thorough, explains each step clearly, never rushes through his cleanings, remembers little patient details, and very kind. Dr. Kim is a man of not many words but good at what he does. I really wanted to give that one front office staff member the benefit of the doubt the first time I came but she was rude again the second time I came by. When I entered for my appointment, there was no greeting. Just a quick glance down at me and she asked for my name. Upon checkout, she was on the phone with someone arguing with them in a very belligerent tone of voice. At a certain point while still looking at her computer, she said ,"when can you next come in" and I genuinely was not sure who she was talking to. She then proceeded to rudely say ,"hello? I am talking to you" finally making eye contact with me. Maybe this is just her personality but not the best image for the clinic. In general, this is a very clean office with wonderful staff members. I have recommended this clinic to multiple friends and family.

I was told I needed a root canal, and was referred to an endodontist (Atlanta endo center) The root canal had failed, and a chronic infection formed. EVERY 6 months at my cleaning here at Duluth dental studio, I would bring up discomfort in the tooth to the dentist assistant and the Doctor. They would tell me it WAS inflamed/bleeding but there was nothing showing on my x rays to be wrong. I believed them. This past December, during my cleaning Dr Kimi told me the tooth had periodontal disease. That was a shock to me, and it didn't sound right. I knew I needed a 2nd opinion. Thank God I got one, my root canal was infected and had failed. I had to get the root canal redone recently, and this office (Duluth dental studio) has given me such a hard time about getting my dental records, saying they would be "encrypted" and I wouldn't be able to see them. I spoke with someone named Tonya on the phone a few days ago, who thought it was funny and was laughing because I was concerned about not being able to obtain my records. DO NOT GO HERE- please, go somewhere else. If something seems wrong with your care, STAND UP FOR YOURSELF. I wish I stopped going here years ago, so I wouldn't have had an infected root canal in my mouth for years. I'm sooo glad i read reviews before just calling any place because i was originally going to call a different place but both locations had 1 star and the reviews were so bad. Then i came across Duluth Dental Studio and their reviews were awesome, a lot mentioning Dr. Moon being great. So he called the next morning and they took him in the same day! From his words, the staff was very friendly and Dr's explained everything to him thoroughly and were extremely helpful. Their membership plan is also great and helps save what he was originally going to pay. In his case, his bottom teeth were very delicate and dr was responsible and generous to let him know they couldn't go straight to cleaning his teeth or anything yet due to the fact that his nerves and teeth were too delicate at the moment and since nothing really hurt him but coldness they want to wait til the head trauma passes. My boyfriend then went in the next day to get a little fill since I did chip his teeth, on accident ! I believe they also did clean in between him gums which made his teeth look nearly brand new! Ofc he has a few appointments after that but we 10/10 recommend this place!! Don't go to a whatever last minute place without reading reviews like we were about to do!!

It took 5 months to get back the OSHA fees and LAB fees which were fraudulently billed by the old owners. So sad that they took advantage of in-network additional billing that was not allowed. Old owners just ignored it but the new doc did the right thing! I hope this practice learns from this experience and treats patients the right way without tacky billing ideas.

Poor quality work, zero accountability, and abusive record fees…read more My wife had a root canal done at this clinic in 2021. Recently, the procedure failed completely, leading to severe issues. She has had other root canals since childhood that have never given her a single problem, which shows the poor quality of the work done here. When we reached out to them to take accountability for their work, they simply washed their hands and refused any responsibility. To make matters worse, when we requested a copy of her medical records and X-rays to get a second opinion, they demanded a ridiculous $250 fee--even though we already paid for all imaging, consultations, and procedures in full back in 2021. Charging $250 for a patient's own records is not only an abuse, but it also violates HIPAA regulations regarding reasonable, cost-based access fees. They do not stand behind their work and try to charge excessive fees just to release your own medical records. Proceed with extreme caution.
