Overcharged and then stopped responding to emails. Hired them for a bachelor party about a month ago. They were courteous and helpful and the actual limo service was fine. But then I got the bill and was charged two additional hours (they don't stop the clock until the limo is back in the garage--not when you leave it) which was tolerable but they charged me for those two hours at their full rate of $65/hr and not the discounted rate of $50/hr I was given. I would give this "company" negative stars if I could. They failed to show up to my best friend's wedding to escort us seven bridesmaids, father-of-the-bride, and bride to the wedding ceremony. When the limo was a half an hour late I called to see where they were. I didn't get a person on the other end of the phone until my third time calling. After I talked to the man on the other end he assured me he'd call me back in a few minutes after he talked to the driver to see where he was. After about 10 minutes of waiting, I called back. No answer. About a minute later I got a text message (a text message!) from the man. He was still trying to get in touch with the driver. Long story short: the limo never showed, they stopped answering my phone calls, and now they're giving the bride a hard time about a refund. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY. read more

So i booked a trip to Logan on November 6th for NYE, i was sure booking so far in advance was to my benefit, for my family who was traveling back to Ireland, i was confirmed via email and paid in advance using a dealfind voucher but after 30 minutes of waiting and no one picking up the phone i had to call a cab. Its hard enough seeing family go home but to have the last few minutes of their trip to be rushed was very up setting. I have left the company a voicemail but still no reply and i also wrote to dealfind . I will NEVER use or recommended this company and with the world of social media its going to be there lose. Please spread the word that Affinity Limousine of Maine is not to be trusted. They frequently have offers on Living Social and Groupon, but I advise you to steer clear of them. Nowhere on their deal page, or on the voucher itself, or in any of the verbal reservation communications I had with the company, was there ANY mention of the $131 worth of travel fees that we were informed of by email 8 hours after confirmation and completion of our reservation. I was aware that gratuity and tolls were not included in the voucher price, but nowhere was it mentioned that we would be automatically charged a specific amount for gratuity, and certainly no one said anything at all about a "fuel surcharge" or "administrative fee." I should have been told of these fees when I made my initial inquiry. Had I known, I may not have made the reservation at all, but because the information came so much later than the completion of the reservation, it was too late to make alternative arrangements. Despite these last minute charges, we continued with our reservation and my husband confirmed on the phone with the reservation specialist the afternoon before our departure that everything was in order for a 5 AM pickup on Sunday morning. They DID NOT SHOW UP and did not communicate with us in any way. I tried calling the only phone number I was given for the company, but it was only an answering machine. I left a message asking for an immediate response, but heard nothing at all from them in any form until an email message sent on Tuesday at 11 PM. We waited for more than 30 minutes, but eventually had to drive ourselves to the airport to make our flight. The message we eventually received did apologize and admit that the failure to show up was their mistake, but also claimed that "The transportation industry proves to be quiet [sic] unpredictable" and did not offer any kind of explanation as to WHY we were stood up. If, in fact, Affinity Limousine "takes great pride in servicing [their] customers with the up most respect and courtesy from start to finish of their transportation experience", then they would have clear customer access to a dispatcher at the time of a scheduled trip, and would deal promptly (not 60 hours later) with a customer complaint about "a delay or forfeiture." To simply not show up and not communicate anything about the situation at the time of service is not the hallmark of a company that values "respect and courtesy." The truth is that Affinity Limousine left our family high and dry, causing stress and inconvenience on an early morning trip with two small children. read more

I hired affinity to pick up my wife and kids tonight to celebrate our 11th wedding annivercery and they were a no show. It was 94 degrees at my house and I had my three girls in dresses waiting for their first ride in a limo. They were to arrive at 5:30 and my dinner reservation was at 6 pm. By 620 and several calls and emails to affinity ( with no response) I drove my family to dinner. Two of my girls cried and called me a bed daddy for lying to them about the limo ride. Much like the first reviewer, they never showed up for me either. I booked shuttle service to Logan Airport and called and confirmed with them when they would be there. After waiting a half hour (and calling multiple times with no response) we then had to scramble to drive to the airport and pay a daily parking rate because it was too late to make alternative plans. We haven't been able to get in touch with them since. It is almost impossible to get in touch with someone there. They will not call back or respond to emails. I had the same no show problem last summer and it took bank action to remove the charge from my credit card after many emails exchanged with this company. I also was recently charged $500.00 on my credit card by this company for services never requested. I notified my bank of this fraud charge on my credit card. I have had my card cancelled which these people had on file. I would give this group no stars for their lack of trustworthiness. My experience now with them is that they are illigitmate. DO NOT use this company. If I could give zero stars, I would! I booked them for my wedding on June 2, 2012 using a Living Social coupon. They never showed up! And their 24/7 dispatch service didnt answer the phone, nor did they return voicemails. I received a return email simply saying I could go back through Living Social for reimbursement. I received no apology or reason for stranding me on my wedding day. Instead, they said that they had 25 weddings that day and had no idea that our limo didnt show. Really?? You have no idea where your limos are?? And to top it off, our wedding caterer told us that they were stranded in Boston by Affinity a few months ago...and they are still out money that hasnt been reimbursed. I set up a deal with the limo company for a ride to my house in Kennebunk. I canceled the Reservation and then I checked my bank account. a large amount of money was withdrawn from my account by the portland limo company. In fact stolen. This is the reality of Affinity Limousine's wedding day services: they just didn't show up. We contacted them after they were a half an hour late in picking up the bridal party of a wedding I was in to take us to the church (they were supposed to be there at 3). We were told that someone would immediately get in touch with the driver and call us right back. 10 minutes later we got a text message (A text message? Really?) that the driver was at the address. This came as a surprise, because all of us were at that point standing out in the front yard of the house right in front of the street, and could say with 100% certainty that the driver was NOT, in fact, there. So we weren't sure what that person was talking about. We wasted some more time trying to get an answer from them as to when they'd be there until 3:55, which was about 5 minutes before the wedding was scheduled to start. Very luckily for us, the church was only a few minutes away, and we had enough cars to drive all of us there. We contacted them en route to let them know that we were leaving, and to provide them with the address to the church (we figured that the driver could at least take us to where we were getting wedding party pictures taken after the ceremony was over). The last we heard from them was a text message that the company "would have to dispatch another car." Okay?...What happened to the first one, the one that was supposedly sitting in front of the house? Needless to say, there was no limo awaiting us when we walked out of the church either. The company didn't contact us that day to apologize or provide any explanation as to what had happened. Not only did they no show, but they had very poor communication. Did it ruin the wedding? No. But is that any excuse for their actions? No. The whole thing was almost unbelievable.
