Filthy, disgusting community, none working appliances in community kitchen(s) which were also always very dirty, carpets throughout filthy with urine and feces/pets among food and drink spillage, residents urinating on sofa in library and movie theater seats, movie theater equipment always broken as well as Internet cafe computers, printer and TV, garbage rooms are disgusting and you can smell them from down the hallway because they aren't cleaned, pool is gross with green algae and paint peeling, pool bathrooms the same, there haven't been any updates to this building since opening in 2012. They don't update anything in the apartments they charge an arm and leg for, they shift appliances around from apartment to apartment and attempt to repair mostly to know avail. My carpet was filthy from prior tenant (had a massive dog), I'd walk around in my white socks and they'd turn black! No upkeep with the foliage outside, the lavender bushes are so overgrown and look half dead. I would try and help to keep the rose bushes trimmed but one of many bullies told me I didn't know what I was doing? I was bullied by several old woman and a couple of old men for no apparent reason and management did NOTHING. But one of their favorite tenants told a lie about me and they jumped all over me for it with no proof, illegally forcing me out. I did a lot for the community my two years there, art classes twice a month, movies with treats every Saturday night and it seemed the more I did too try and bring joy to the community the worse it got for me. Management especially Ann could see this but looked the other way and when the monster Michelle came she made it worse for me attacking me verbally and not hearing my point of view and the one to illegally force me out. Although I was happy to leave this nut house, people were awful and also took me for granted. I helped a lot of people but jealousy is a complex emotion of insecurity that took over "a lot" of these people. You can't teach an old dog new tricks.i could write a novel of things that have gone on at Affinity, corporate didn't care either. Pictures speak volumes. read more

My MIL lived at this horrible place for as little amount of time as possible. Upon her exit I cleaned the apartment and I left the slider dirty on the outside which they charged her a 100.00 of her deposit to clean.. other things they added up were another 490.00 out of a 500.00 deposit....This place is ridiculous with their fees ...5.00 to change a light bulb. I highly recommend anyone looking to reside here change your mind. Totally OUTRAGEOUS. read more

I have lived here for 4 years, and before that I lived at the Affinity in Kennewick WA. This is a beautiful facility! The residents are outstanding, very friendly, and the staff is over the top Great! It has become like a second family to me. There are a lot of disabled people who live here and a lot who are not. We celebrate each other's uniqueness. And the staff cares for us like we are their own family! Anything we need they are willing to help with. I truly love living here and highly recommend it! read more

I recently stayed in a guest apartment here while visiting an elderly relative. It is a beautiful place with nicely designed apartments and well cared for. There are many activities for the residents - a library, movie theater room with free popcorn, a computer room, games, a pub, a gym, etc. The residents seemed happy. However, the front desk staff does not do a good job of communicating basic information and in fact does not have basic information. The Web site says there is WiFi, but guests need a password and in the 3 days we were there, they were unable to give us one. They didn't even believe us a password was needed. They are unable to accept credit cards as payment for the guest suite and actually requested that we get a cashier's check! They did not want to accept cash, which unfortunately for them is illegal. The lack of WiFi over the stay was a huge inconvenience to the person in our party who had to keep in contact with work over email. And if a guest arrived Saturday and left Sunday (when the office is not open), it would in fact be impossible to get a cashier's check as banks are closed. Why isn't this information given when the reservation is made? This is a nice place for the residents and I realize it is not a professional hotel, but it's hard to believe they just expect travelers to show up with their checkbooks and that no one had ever tried to use the WiFi before. read more

Please save your money .... staff is very rude and will lie to you .... not tell you about fees and such before moving in. the units are very small and inconvenient - there is a charge for covered parking and also a charge for a garage. The two bedrooms have one bathroom and the one bedrooms have one bathroom ... not at all suitable for two people. amenities are meh and do not justify the high cost of the rent. The staff will treat you like fools when you request a work order. read more

I have a family member who has lived at Affinity for 2 years. The apartments and community and all it has to offer is great. The office management is prejudice against minorities. I am and my family are African American and are family member who is a resident at Affinity is Caucasian. The first time my husband and I walked into the facility we we're stopped by the office manager and asked if who we were visiting and if we knew how to get there. We yes we do and thanked her. She continued to stare at us and behaved like there was something more she wanted to say. It made us uncomfortable so we hurried on our way. While visiting another time, our family received some bad news and I was crying on the phone. She came up and knocked on the door and stated that she had received noise complaints from every apartment around us. I apologized and told her had been crying. She just stood there glaring at me shaking her head. 2 weeks later I was leaving from a visit and she saw me in the hall. I said hello and smiled, Sha looked away and ignored me. Later that day she stopped my family member and said that she received more complaints from residents that myself and a black man were arguing. This could never of been possible because my husband has never returned to visit our family since his first visit. I'm not surprised that there are only 2 black residents in the whole Affinity residential community. read more
