I have been with this practice for around 14 years and with Dr. Palmisano 90% of that. It is hard…read moreto find a Dr. that listens and genuinely cares, I really lucked out finding him, I truly believe I would not be alive today without Dr. P and his team. I was at one point on a dozen prescriptions daily and am now down to two daily prescriptions with hopes of removing another soon. I'm healthy and happy, Thank you Dr.P , His fantastic nursing staff and Everyone at Hanbury Family Medical

I thought I'd probably be in the great minority giving a negative review. I see that I am not…read more I've been associated with this practice for 3-4 years and visited the office perhaps 4 times. The doctor I had assigned to me left a couple of years ago. I hadn't had a need to go there since. When I recently tried to make an appointment, I was told that I needed to schedule a "reestablishment appointment" with a new provider. While I didn't understand, figuring that doctor's patient charts were put together for a reason - to be reviewed. I made the appointment and showed up on time. I was given paperwork to fill out and I was finished within 5 minutes or so. I wasn't called to the back for about 20 minutes after I had arrived. After a brief weigh-in and blood pressure read, the nurse left saying the doctor would be right in. Thirty minutes later and, after seeing no indication that anyone was headed my way, I left. I had other things to do. At the end of my day, I received a voicemail saying that the doctor was just about to see me when he noticed I wasn't there. They wanted to know if I was alright and asked that I call back. I did call back, but the only thing I was told was that the office wanted to know if I needed to set up another appointment. I asked for the office manager to call me. I was told she was not in and a message would be given to her. She called me back the next day to explain that they strive to provide the best care they can and sometimes appointments run a little late. She eventually said she was sorry, but hoped I understood that things like this happen. She asked if I'd like to set up another appointment. I told her that I didn't think so. I told her that I would be searching for another provider. She said she was going to inform her supervisor(s) and one would be calling me. I never received a call. This is not the first time that I or members of my family have shown up for appointments only to wait pretty long periods to be seen. This is part of the Bayview Medical Group and I believe they maybe over scheduling providers on a regular basis. How I wish there were some non-corporate doctors out there that treated patients with respect.

Subject: Disappointing Experience…read more I am writing to express my disappointment with the customer service I did not receive during my recent experience with Atwood Family Practice. I called to see if I could get an appointment. The receptionist's curt and impersonal attitude, quickly mocked my questions. We are not taking new patients!! Did you hear me? " we are not taking patients" without any effort to help me further. I inquired to leave a message with a particular Dr. and she insisted the Dr didn't work there! Made me spell the name! She started laughing and said "o". I was expecting a more personalized experience, especially considering the reputation of your medical office. However, It was very clear that the staff were not interested in providing any kind of personal assistance, and it left a sour taste in my mouth. I hope you will take my feedback seriously and take steps to ensure that your staff are providing the kind of personal service that patients / people expect and deserve when trying to navigate the healthcare system.

She used to be great, but perhaps she has gotten busy and lost her quality of care. It takes months and months to get an appointment and you cannot schedule with another doctor in the practice if you are in a jam. I went in on June 19 and today, July 5, I'm still chasing down numerous prescription REFILLS. In fact, none are at the pharmacy and someone that just looked at my chart, only sees 1. I was told to arrive 20 minutes early and then waited almost 55 minutes for the doctor. No problem. Honestly. Here's the problem. When I didn't have my prescriptions 10 days later, I was told by her nurse, "I don't need to know what you and Dr. Brawley talked about; I need to know what you need." That is a quote. When I told her she was being rude, she told me, she wasn't rude. She was busy because she had a patient to see. This did not sit well with me in light of the time I patiently waited. It's Friday, at almost 2 and I'm sure I'll go another weekend without my prescriptions. Do yourself a favor and skip this practice. It's a shame because Miss Amy that draws blood drives from NC and she's amazing! The girl that sits on the right (can't remember her name) is fabulous if you can get lucky enough to get her on the phone. She pulls the voicemail, so I'm almost thankful when I do leave a message.

She checked on me over the weekend when the office was closed just to make sure I was aware of my lab results without waiting to see her on my next visit. I recommend her 10 times shes the best.

I had previously posted a Google review about this doctor's office and how they do not respect your…read moretime and the wait is over two hours with an empty waiting area so other families would be warned about the amount of time that you waste coming here, sadly I need regular medication so I had to continue to deal with it but wanted others to be warned. I had an appointment today after I had made that review because I needed a medicine refill. I walked in and was told that my appointment was canceled due to my Google review telling others to go somewhere else and that they were writing up a withdrawal letter for me to no longer come there.(which is patient abandonment and will be a licensing issue for them) So beware on leaving a Google review for this business as they will take it out on you medically... unfortunately sounds like the office manager who wouldn't come out of her office to address me personally is a mean girl who peaked in high school that can't take criticism that people have experienced at this office. A little note for the owner who responded: I have made numerous appointments at this location for myself and my child, this was not the only time that we had been left waiting for hours considering my appointment today was for 11 o'clock. It doesn't matter what time the appointment is set for you wait hours and obviously, after reading numerous reviews of yours, I am not the only person I didn't have to ask to see the office manager, as for the Receptionist was her/your messenger and I got your message loud and clear. After I was told, my appointment was canceled due to my opinion (freedom of speech) I obviously had no trust in my care team because it became patient abandonment when I was not given my 30 days nor my medication refill and that will be a legal issue for you. What is perplex is that you don't think what everyone else has experienced in these reviews is not mistreating patients or human decency. Yikes. I am not fighting to remain a patient in good standing that was never my goal, only to educate others about this horrible medical office and don't worry I will continue to educate and be loud on social media. Have the day you deserve.

Dr. Abdelshaheed is a good doctor. The problem is the Office Manager, Graissie Abdelshaheed. The…read morereviews left about her are true. I have shared with others that I recommended to go to this practice about what occurred to me. I shared with those individuals about my experience and why I decided that this practice was not a good fit for my health. Those individuals that I recommended decided that they will not be returning either. I usually do not write reviews but my experience was so bad that I have to warned others about the unpleasant and unprofessional behavior from the Office Manager. I hope this review helps others avoid experiencing what I did. There are plenty of doctors in the area that provide you with quality care from every aspect of their practice. With that being said, believe the reviews. Choose a practice that people are not taken advantage of. That you are treated with dignity and respect. Ending note... Graissie thank you for the phone call. Thank you for decided that the negative review my daughter left gave you grounds to call and tell me that I and my daughters were not allowed back to see Dr. Abdelshaheed again. Especially after that was stated in the review my daughter left; that we will not be returning. In addition, I told the young lady at the front desk that morning that I will be choosing a different Family Doctor and will not be returning. Thank you for telling me that my daughter's review did nothing. The review did do something. It caused you to place a very aggressive irate unprofessional abusive phone call to me that ended with you hanging up. That review also made you report the review to Yelp to be removed. That review angered you!!!

I'm at home for the holidays and to avoid falling into a suburban laze I try to keep myself busy…read more On the first day home I got my hair cut, trimmed my body hair, masturbated, and set a doctor's appointment. I guess these things were never a priority while living in a city. Dr. Piccioni was the first doctor listed when I searched by my health provider in my zip code. His office is only 10 minutes from my house (it takes 5 minutes to get out of my neighborhood). As a vagabond, I've seen many doctors and yet again I lucked out. I arrived at the new office on time, filled out the first-time application, was called in a few minutes later, was checked and questioned by the nurse, then waited a few more minutes for the doc to come in. Frank's pleasant to talk to and straightforward when it comes to medicine. Maybe this is because he's an osteopathic physician (I had to Wikipedia that myself. The osteopathic philosophy is similar to my own; I just didn't know there was a term for it). I was informed of and opted to get tetanus and pertussis vaccine, a blood count and cholesterol check (I even ate before coming in. I didn't know this was possible!), my lip cyst checked, and a ton of medicine for my genetic skin problem. It was all done timely and effortlessly. I have a PPO health policy, but I gladly consider Frank to be my primary physician.
