Mark is a focused, but empathetic, force in helping folks address what ails them. I'd thought I'd come to the end of my PT experiences with my Knee Replacement and, most recently, a Shoulder Replacement, but then got referred to work on my spine. Mark is an encouraging person who explains both the big picture, and the specifics of the attack plan to get better. He is also creatively flexible, responding to feedback from patients to craft a more effective workout. Mark flipped my disappointment with having to go back to PT, into a renewed motivation to address my spine, and to incorporate the weak knee and shoulder into continued strength-building and range of motion improvement. Mark's treatment team (the folks who set up the exercises, help patients do the exercises, and help patients maintain success momentum) are Jett, Miguel and Matt. These are the guys who help me get my form right, transition between exercises, and generally help with whatever a patient needs to excel. They are upbeat and full of energy, as well as perceptive enough to help patients fine-tune details of their performance. On each occasion, I needed a vascular ultrasound of my legs to make sure I did not have a blood clot, and they were able to fit me in at the last minute. The entire staff is extremely friendly, kind, and professional. The ultrasound technologists are thorough, reassuring, and clearly take what they do very seriously. The facility itself is beautiful, modern, and high-end, and you immediately get the feeling that the people there genuinely care about their patients. If you have an issue involving your veins, circulation, varicose veins, or need vascular ultrasound testing, La Jolla Vein & Vascular is the only place I would consider in the La Jolla area. The level of care is exceptional. It is genuinely a pleasure to write this review. After calling around some places in San Diego, other quoted somewhere around $100-$200 for a skin tag on the neck area. They refused to give me any idea of pricing to remove a skin tag from my neck without a consultation. They also failed to mention that the consultation was going to be $150. The vibe felt off since the moment I walked in. I had driven 45 minutes to come here, so I decided to move forward with the $150 consultation. The Dr. then explained the procedure and inspected my skin tag. That took about 5 minutes . They then came with a price of $550. I simply could not afford that, so I ended up calling other places once again. I ended up coming to another place in clairemont who was able to get me in just after leaving this place. Free consultation and same day removal for $120. That's less than what I was charged here for the simple 5 minute consultation. Ive never felt more cheated, scammed, and taken advantage of in my life. I hope The Secret changes the way they do things in the future to not waste my time, or their time. Had they simply told me over the phone that the consultation was going to be $150, and that a rough idea to remove my skin tag would be $400-550, I simply would have cancelled my appointment.
