Cristina is so patient explaining how pottery works and encourages you to be playful with what you create. Adam is also very helpful offering any advice, together they make a great team. The attention to detail does not go unnoticed, and they make everyone feel welcomed (this is very important because I understand it can be scary/intimidating to try new things! they put any fears to ease) Luckily I had the opportunity to glaze a few of my pieces, which is worth the money! I was so pleasantly surprised how quickly my pottery was fired, considering how long the process can take from start to finish. I have been to multiple OCISLY events, but one of my favorite memories was crafting matching swan coffee mugs with my partner. It was so fun to do side-by-side while surrounded by creative energy and good vibes. We cherish these mugs and pull them out often smiling at the subtle unique imperfections that make each one beautiful. Thank you to OCISLY for an amazing memory that will last for years & years. We look forward to many more clay dates!

It was our very first pottery class, and while we were both excited, we were equally nervous about making something that didn't resemble a lopsided cereal bowl. Mercy immediately put us at ease with her genuine smile, approachable demeanor, and patient guidance. She has a gift for breaking down complex techniques into simple, easy-to-follow steps that made the whole process feel fun and attainable. Whether it was explaining the basics of centering clay on the wheel or showing us how to shape it with precision, she never once made us feel rushed or intimidated. Instead, she encouraged us to embrace the imperfections, reminding us that pottery is as much about creativity and connection as it is about the finished piece. What really stood out was how attentive Mercy was to both of us. She noticed when my girlfriend's hands needed a little more water to smooth the clay, or when my wheel speed was a bit too fast, and she gently corrected us without breaking our confidence. Her personalized attention made us feel like we were in the hands of a true professional who genuinely cared about our experience. By the end of the class, we had each created something we were proud of and more importantly, we had shared an experience that brought us closer together. Mercy celebrated our little victories with us and even took the time to share tips for improving if we decide to keep going with pottery in which we definitely will be. Thanks to Mercy, Truly what could have been a nerve wracking / long ride home in the car lol our first attempt turned into a joyful, bonding memory we'll cherish forever. She's truly exceptional at what she does. Already talking about when we should go back now.

It's focused around scripts, improv work, and audition techniques. I believe this class is about $50 for an three hours. I've personally never taken it but I'm sure it's very helpful if you're just getting started or want to feel more confident during auditions. The employees here are very nice, sometimes stressed, but you get to know them the more you come and it's a very relaxed environment. I know auditions can be nerve-racking but don't stress it too much. They're looking for specific kind of people for their specific kind of advertisement. When you first walk in you'll see chairs and a table with iPads. Make sure you sign in on those through your networking account then head over to the additional table on your right to sign the physical sign in paper. Then sit and wait anxiously for your name to be called! One of the casting directors will give you the lo down before entering the room of what they are expecting and what you might have to do. Sometimes they put multiple dancers or models in a room at once, which I hate because more pressure, but just ignore them. lol There's multiple rooms in the space so there is always something going on. If you're interested in doing an audition you'll need an agent and through them they will send you here or to the other casting spots. Parking: I usually just parallel park on a street near by and never have too much trouble finding parking! Good luck!
