Many of the review here are correct and not exaggerated. You do have to be here daily to advocate for the person who cannot do so for themself. I have a relative here that is being physically abused with the aides bending his fingers, slapping him in the head and pinching his ears. He is being chemically restrained and physically restrained in a chair for 12 hours a day. He is on so many mood enhancing drugs due to his agitation that he is unable to feed himself. He has dementia. I have visited him on many days and find him in just sitting in his chair with his head back and mouth wide open and sometime with food in his mouth. He has aspirated and been sent to the hospital. We were told they specialize in wound care. This is untrue. His pressure wound has gotten so much worse and is now infected. The in-house doctors and nurses do not follow outside specialists orders. He has diabetes and had a toe amputation and they do not wrap or treat his other foot wounds as they should be doing. He has lost weight and lost his appetite. He has had more than one UTI due to them not changing his catheter. The in-house doctors and nurses do not follow outside specialists orders. He has fallen out of bed several times and injured himself because they don't check the correct air pressure on his air mattress and he rolls out of bed because he turns himself to relieve himself of the pressure of his sacral wound. The Executive Director and Nursing Director cover up and will blatantly lie to you. They have what I call fake sympathy for your loved one. We have contacted an outside ombudsman for support, we have contacted the MA Health Department and received no help or communication from them and are now at our wits end on where or who to turn to next. It is unfortunate my family cannot care for our relative at home and we cannot find another facility who provides quality care, respect and dignity with an available bed for a transfer. If you have a loved one who you cannot care for yourself do not even consider this nursing facility. We don't always have much guidance when life for some comes to this point in having to place your loved one in a nursing facility but you really need to do your research and even then be there as much as possible. I think most of them bank on us dropping our relatives off and not returning. It's disgraceful and disgusting how these For Profit companies treat the ill, aging and helpless people. We all deserve better.

Thankfully, my daughters knew Caroline H. who works for this agency. After a short hospital stay which disrupted both her diet and memory, Mom needed hands-on help until a room was available in assisted living. It was such a blessing to have Emily G. and Julie R. as the aides Caroline assigned. They pureed her meals, reminded her to take medications, provided mental stimulation and even some physical exercise. One or the other of the aides was in her apartment 7 hours a day 7 days a week for 10 weeks. the care they provided was in every way exceptional and the genuine respect they showed was wonderful since she had already lost so much. And finally, the fact that my previously independent Mom looked forward each day to simply having them arrive is in the end the best testimonial of all. If I ever needed private care again I would look no further than this wonderful agency. Ruth C.

Ordinarily an Aberdeen caregiver is scheduled to be with my cousin just a few mornings per week, and there was no one on duty last Friday when some visiting neighbors became concerned that she was unwell and phoned Aberdeen for help. The Aberdeen Case Manager, Diana Shepherd, promptly rushed over to my cousin's house to check and take care of her. Diana then stayed with my cousin until she could arrange for Aberdeen caregivers to stay with her 24/7 until the health crisis passed. I appreciate that it was not easy to find caregivers on such short notice, and am grateful to those kind caregivers who rearranged their schedules during this busy holiday season just to be with my cousin. I live four hours away, so having this dedicated team in place means the world to me, and gives me great peace of mind. I cannot say enough good things about Aberdeen, and Diana and her wonderful caregivers!

I had to argue with her night nurse to give her pain medicine thst hospice Said she could have any time I felt she was in pain he had the nerve to ask me how I new she was in pain .than he just put the medicine down her throat instead of on her gums like he was suppose to . All the other nurse put it on her gums. My mom was a patient there for 7 half years the administrator didn't even know who I was talking about when I mention my mother name . I would not recommend this nursing home . When my mom passed away I asked the nurse to call funeral home for me to ask them to come get her he called my phone that I had turned off at the time and said come collect body of I'm not putting her name on here but he wasn't very nice what he said. I had to here this when I got home . I called funeral home myself . If I could give this place a 0 I would
