My toddler daily engages in different creative activities that are both educational and fun. This allows him to learn and develop, all while being perfectly cared for by so many loving people under one roof. The Director Sanam attends to every single detail, ensuring that the children are taken care of on all levels, and that the academy is operating at its absolute best! The Academy owner Madhu knows each and every child's name and genuinely cares about them and greets them on the way in and out of the Academy. The teachers are loving and compassionate, the administrators are all friendly and extremely helpful, especially Alana and Hannah. My toddler thinks of Kiddie Academy of Moorefield Station as his "first home" that's how much care he's getting there! And I think of everyone working there as my family. Everyone working there would go the extra mile to provide the children and their families with all and any support needed! They also make every occasion and holiday even more special, sparing no effort or expense, and even inviting parents to join the fun :)

I was here during the snowstorm in late January, and it was quick and easy to add an extra day onto my reservation as well--thank you for helping me when my flight was cancelled! While DC is very walkable, this location is also very conveniently located near main bus lines and the metro is about a 15 minute walk. If I had to nitpick and choose one thing to critique, it would be the size of the bathroom. However, this is not the fault of anyone at this location, my room just happened to be next to the elevator. But it was an excellent stay and I would recommend this to everyone! The building was a bit drab and the elevators limited. It seemed like it could use an update. I will say that I received excellent service and that after checking in one night, the same person at the front desk immediately remembered my name and room number when I came back to inquire about using my member benefits for a late checkout (and unfortunately I didn't get his name). And it isn't too hard to earn a late check out through this company and it did help me out a bit.

Hotel is in a decent area with plenty of restaurants, stores etc on Main St. We needed a Petco and there is one 2 min away. Staff were friendly, lobby/breakfast area is clean. Hotel grounds were also very nice with a few places for dogs to potty. Covered/gated parking was a nice reassurance and parking fee for a night was only $6.23. Bed was very comfortable, shower had strong pressure and a very tall shower head if you are tall. A little bit of peeling wallpaper over shower area but overall decor was satisfactory. Room has a frig, microwave and couch/trundle bed to accommodate additional people.

When I got into my room I noticed a odd smell which I eventually found out was coming from the carpet and the bathroom door didn't shut all the way. When I asked the front desk about changing rooms they stated they were booked, but the guy gave me a cleaning spray solution in a bottle for the odor. He apologized saying that the cleaning crew was unavailable but I could use it to make it smell better. It didn't. That should've been my cue to check out but again, I was exhausted. However the choice was made for me because around 9pm as I was getting ready to rest, I saw a bug in my room by the AC so I killed it and went to bed. Not long afterward I felt something under the covers and pinched it. When I lifted the covers the remains of whatever it was smeared the sheets. 10pm I showed the pictures to the front desk and left. What bothers me the most is that I emailed the manager and called several times and no one has gotten back to me. Do not come here unless you want terrible customer service, a smelly humid room and bugs.

My husband and I stayed overnight at a Staybridge Suites in McLean on a Saturday night in…read moremid-April, 2025; our adult daughter and her husband booked a separate room. We were on our way to a wedding in Potomac, MD on Sunday, and the closest hotels were in Tysons Corner VA or Bethesda MD. We selected this hotel primarily because it's an IHG hotel (where we have platinum membership in its reward program), its location, and very good review profile. This hotel offers apartment-style hotel suites with full kitchens, free wifi, and 42" HDTVs, and includes a free breakfast buffet. The website indicates that the hotel also offers 24/7 laundry, a fitness room, and seasonal pool but, while useful, we didn't use any of these. We were very pleased with our selection. The hotel was beautifully appointed and spotless, and it was clear that thought had gone into providing what travelers were most likely need. Our suite was huge, with two separate areas. One side included the sleeping area and the bathroom, while the other side was the kitchen and sitting area with TV. (Note that there are different room types. Our daughter and SIL said that their room was smaller). Check-in was effortless, with everything already ready upon our arrival. The check-in receptionist was friendly, and offered good recommendations for local restaurants. The breakfast buffet offered many hot and other choices, including scrambled eggs, sausages, diced sweet potatoes, hot waffles, oatmeal, breads/bagels/scones, fresh fruit (apples, bananas, oranges), and beverages (coffee, tea, juices). Foods were replenished regularly, except for the orange and pineapple juices (both of which dispensed only water). The neighborhood is urban, but the hotel is quiet and offers parking ($). There are walkable restaurants nearby. Our rating for this hotel would actually be 4.5 but a round-up to 5.0 seemed more appropriate than a downgrade. A few small things, the first two of which are related to communication. (1) we were surprised by our final bill which included a $10 charge for parking. While we were asked at check-in whether we needed a parking pass, it was never mentioned, and should have been, that there was a charge for that parking. (2) we're platinum members of IHG's Rewards Program, which is usually acknowledged at check-in with an offer of 500 loyalty points or a snack or drink. While not mentioned at check-in, I did find later that our account was credited with 500 points. (3) I had been sitting on the chaise lounger in the bedroom area, elevating my feet after a long drive. My husband called from the other side of the suite, and I swung my legs to get up to go there. This caused me to fall with a hard thud. It turns out that what I thought was a one piece chaise lounger (as in the living room area) was actually a chair and ottoman that fit together. When I tried to get up, the ottoman rolled and I fell between the two pieces. Not a major injury, but I do have some black and blue marks. I guess I should've turned on a light!
