    Pinch Sitters Agency

We were disappointed given the good reviews of the agency and the sitter's profile, which claimed that she has "15+ years of experience with newborns," "focuses on children having a good time" and "gives children devoted attention." - Our sitter left our baby unattended for 20 seconds on a 3-feet high changing table (recorded on cameras that we disclosed), walking away to look for a change of clothes. This is a huge safety concern for a 4.5 month infant who is able to independently roll and could have resulted in serious injuries. There is a safety strap that she could have buckled if she needed to walk away. - Sitter pulled a dirty onesie over his head after a blowout. The best practice would be to pull the onesie down past the shoulders/legs to avoid smearing poop over his head. This further demonstrated her lack of experience in caring for infants. - According to the agency, sitters are prohibited to be on their phones when children are awake unless responding to parents or in case of emergency. Our sitter was on her phone the entire time he was awake and ignored him when he was distressed and crying loudly for food. - Our sitter left the apartment twice to pick up lunch/dinner and asked me to babysit. This defeated the point of paying for a sitter so I could catch up on sleep. We assumed she would bring her own meals or order delivery since we are paying for her to be available. - Sitter left all the dirty baby bottles in the sink. Our understanding is that she would clean up after the baby's meals. We understand that the first day may not run perfectly, however we cannot overlook that our child was put in a dangerous position. We have serious doubts about the sitter screening and training process. To throw salt in our wound, we had to pay a $50 cancellation fee so she didn't come back for the second day of our booking. We raised our concerns to Lisa, who acknowledged some of our concerns but ignored the point about leaving a baby unattended on a changing table. She told us that she would continue to employ this sitter, but that she would not be assigned to us anymore. We will not be using Pinch Sitters again.

Finding a sitter, who is caring and trustworthy is a tough feat. I thought finding a sitter in NYC…read morewould be almost impossible since we're not locals. I was recommended this agency by a friend. Lisa and her agency were really amazing! My children had never been with anyone but family but we were in town for a family trip and my husband and I had tickets to a Broadway show. I was nervous but since reaching out to Lisa, I felt like we were in good hands. We felt very comfortable after meeting our sitter and my kids loved her. It was an amazing experience and we now can't wait until our next trip to the city to use this agency again!!

When you choose somewhere to send your child you want to know they're loved and well cared for. At…read moreLincoln Harbor you'll have no idea how your child is and you'll never know who the teachers are due to high staff turnover. They never once updated me on a single thing he did during the day aside from the general classroom updates they put in the app (and sometimes even posted pics of the wrong child!). They basically shoved me out the door every day I picked him up, never a word uttered more than "he was great!" At our last bright horizons, we got personal notes and the teachers would spend time talking to me about him. I think poor culture starts at the top, and until the current director leaves I would avoid sending your child here.

I love it because it's clean, safe, bright and spacious. He gets plenty of outdoor time. They encourage him to use the potty. They have lots of great math, science and reading lessons. I'm constantly updated to the daily activities through the bright horizon app. I know it's pricey and a lot of parents have issues with chain-daycares, but this facility/location is doing a great job keeping these kids healthy, happy and safe. I've looked at a bunch of other daycares and this one stands out among the rest.

Taking a leap of faith in 2023, I enrolled my son in the Summer Camp program at The Learning Experience (TLE) in North Bergen for seven weeks, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I've ever made. What we got back was more than just a camper--we got back a little leader! The independently curated curriculum at TLE, paired with their exceptional staff, created a safe, clean, and nurturing environment where my son could thrive. The educators at TLE took the time to truly understand and nurture his strengths, helping him overcome emotional hurdles with compassion and professionalism. Thanks to TLE, my son has made incredible academic and social progress. The growth we've witnessed has been nothing short of remarkable. "Impressive" is the same word I hear from all his providers as a result of his overall outcomes provided by TLE. I will be forever grateful to the Directors, Ms. Cory and Ms. Bina, teachers Ms. Adawali, Ms. Cecelia, Ms. Janisa (supportive teachers), and everyone at TLE for their unwavering dedication and the transformative impact they've had on my child's development. If you're a parent seeking a place where your child can grow, learn, and shine, look no further than TLE North Bergen. They don't just teach--they empower!

Ms Adaweli has been a teacher here for years and has impeccable ways of helping any child with writing , and reading , and most importantly behavior. My daughter has improved with her help and I am very happy to have her in this private daycare.
