As I live right by Unitec, I have passed the high ropes course on the campus more times than I care to count. But no matter how many times I pass it, I can't help but stop and look at it. Some subconscious part of me probably wants to give it a go!
Part of the Adventure Works programme that encourages both personal and team development, the high ropes course is suited to people of all ages and abilities and caters for large groups. This high ropes course is not only a confidence course, it also encourages leadership and problem solving, and in my opinion - looks like a tonne of fun!
The course is built to align within international safety standards and regulations, and is run by experienced staff members. Every time I have seen someone up actually completing the course, the Adventure Works staff members have either been up the course with them, talking them through it all, or if down on the ground yelling encouragement. These guys seem to genuinely love their job and I can imagine they get a kick out of watching everyone freaking out and working together to get around the course!
The Adventure Works high ropes course at Unitec would be a great place to take your staff members or students to not only build their confidence but improve their teamwork skills. read more
