Meadowview Estate - So many places for photos

There was a time I would have given this boarding facility 5 stars because the management at the…read moretime was great (was, as in, is no longer there). but the way I was treated when I left pushes it down to one star. I read my contract prior to giving my notice in its entirety and it stated I was to give 30 days notice "REGARDLESS" of my rental period. So I did. Mid month through mid month. I received an email back from the owners telling me that " I should pull my contract out and read it" ,that they will not prorate the last month to the 15 days because "my boa d is due monthly" and If I could not pay for the entire month of June, I could leave by end of May. Great. I was happy to leave earlier than planned anyway. And it's a good thing I was able to. I did read my contract however, before I gave my notice, and it did not state anything about no prorations in the cancellation section. The monthly reference in the contract was in the payment section and it said my board was due monthly on the first. Maybe they need to read their own contracts and be more professional. I was leaving to follow my trainer. A decision I made all on my own and was treated poorly because of it. In fact, the day I left, they even went as far as blocking me on their farms Facebook page. In addition to the above, the owners of this barn have zero horse knowledge (how to care for, handle, etc) which is actually scary and their caretakers who are no longer there were the only reason I stayed so long in the first place. The owners need to realize that this is what people do in the horse world. They follow their trainers. It's a shame because it's a beautiful facility but I would not recommend boarding there if you ever plan to leave, owners treat this extremely immaturely. I should also note that my review has been sugar coated.

I cannot begin to tell you how absolutely gorgeous this place is! My Fiancée and I are looking for…read morethe perfect venue for our wedding ceremony and although we tossed around some great options, we kept coming back to Meadowview Farm. I will let the photos speak for themselves but the owners and operators have truly turned this home/venue into something from a magazine. They allow you to truly make your wedding day all your own and their packages are decently priced and can even include big days like the Bridal Shower, and even Rehearsal Dinner can be on site. You definitely have to see this place in person! We scheduled an appointment with only one day notice which was shocking, Sarah was so kind and very professional as she took us around the inside and outside of the property and shared a little of this properties history with us. The only downfall is they are not permitted to do receptions due to some codes that were passed in the 1980s BUT they are in the process of trying to change this. If this gets passed we will look forward to holding everything at one location, otherwise we will likely just opt for a more intimate wedding without a reception because we just absolutely fell in love with this place!

Difficult to make a long story short but I payed in full a year before when I booked, being told the gazebo in the back would be fully decorated for fall complete with mums ,pumpkins etc for the couple's final dance. My daughter talked of little else to cap off her night.I requested china service for dinner which apparently wasn't noted in the managers notes.approximately 5 hours before the event I was verifying china and was told no,it wasn't in her notes sorry. I replied sorry doesn't fix anything go ahead and set it up.no go. Additionally the bridal party was for 12 they set up for 8 ,when pointed out simply brought more chairs to an already crowded table to ends,my girls brought chairs for their table.my guests reported the limited beer selection was warm as well as the wine.they did not reserve a table for myself and father as requested so we arrived from church with no place to sit.The catering service cut 2/3 of the cake and left so I look over to family cutting cake.I brought this to the managers attention who said they only cut part of the cake?! ( the top was not to be reserved and already cut.) The outdoor gazebo had zero decorations even though I brought it up the day before.the bathroom door had broken locks which I discovered that night.Completed disappointed and would recommend somewhere that was operating as a business and not just a side hustle.clearly they had my money a year earlier and where uninterested in hiring appropriate event staff ,or in customer service.

A few hours before my wedding, we found out we weren't having China, and I found out while eating that we had STYROFOAM PLATES. My bridal party did not have enough seats, and my mom's table was not reserved! Guests were waiting for drinks since the manager was also the bartender who was arguing with my mom about why there weren't enough seats. THEN, while I was chatting with guests, I noticed mom and the manager by the cake table.. come to find out, she was again arguing with her, telling her she said we were responsible for plating and cutting the cake! Which we would have never agreed to. I was also looking forward to a final dance with beautiful lights and mums under the gazebo in the back, and that too was not set up. If you use them, keep your contract and have them sign off to what they agreed to!!! Yes, I am happily married now, but they dropped the ball on the most important details !!! more than one time on the most important night of my life!!!

However....dinner was good but a flatbread/pizza the size of your hand is $15. Breakfast buffet is $15 per person (or $8 if you add it at reservation) but it was NOT edible. My husband spent 28 years in the military and eats some sketchy things. But we both left full plates of dry potatoes, eggs, and sausage that were just not edible. My teenage son even turned down food and he can put down some breakfast! Bland is one thing, and hotel eggs are always iffy, but the food was so dry that the sausage might have been beef jerky and the potatoes (2 types) weren't edible either. Both were dry-think emergency food that they forgot to reconstitute. The bottom floor has multiple leaks and the ceiling has holes. I counted no less than 6 buckets collecting water in the hall and conference room areas. The staff was nice but this hotel is just falling apart around them and they cant even drown their sorrows in good coffee.
