I first took my teenage son to the Neptune Beach office and had a great experience from front office to seeing the practitioner. He has been on the recommended medicated prescription wipes and cream and his acne is cleared up. I went to refill his script and found out we no longer have any refills. So, I called the office to obtain a refill but they required an appointment to have a check up. Okay, so I scheduled the first available to our schedule. Meanwhile, my son is out of refills and they are refusing to call in a refill because they have a new NP. You would think they would have reached out to current patients to notify of a new NP and ensure scripts do not run out. But they did NOT. Not only that, the front office person on the phone is incredibly RUDE!!! Not just one time but both times I called the office. CUSTOMER SERVICE is SO sub standard and they clearly do NOT care about their patients. DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE if you want good care. read more

DO NOT COME HERE!!! As I walked in a lady immediately canceled her appt and stormed out, not sure what for... I uberred here wasting $40!! I even called prior to my appointment to confirm they were able to do it today and the receptionist of this exact beach location confirmed that they YES will cover another procedure same as last for my appt. I have had two procedures done here including skin tag removals!!! They denied me even though they have helped me two separate times fully covered for the same process I requested. I wasted money being denied care. They have done two procedures but a female blonde named Sarah denied me after waiting a bit.....their phone number is a call center with over a 5 minute wait every time. Good luck finding out if they will care to cover you or not I guess. read more

Please, please do not go here. Careless, unqualified and rude. Scarred for life literally. Somethings are mistakes, this was carelessness and uneducated staff performing procedures for the sake of performing basic procedures. I absolutely love this office, the staff and especially Dr. Perez! I recently had a diagnosis no one wants to hear and I can't even begin to express the amount of genuine care and concern I received. It wasn't just the surgery, but the way they were so comforting and kind to me before, during and now many times after. At one point, I was so scared that I couldn't stop shaking during MOH's surgery and Dr. Perez had a nurse come in just to hold my hand. I can't even express what that felt like in my heart at probably one of the most vulnerable times in my life! The entire staff (Brian, Melissa....and all the wound checkers, office staff,, and nurses) truly make you feel cared for....and it's Dr. Perez showing the way of kindness! In today's world this a rare thing. This is truly something I value and appreciate and will always be thankful for as I continue my treatment plan with them. read more

People are really nice but cost is much to high. They charge their own fee and then bill your insurance a very high cost which is only partially covered. I will end up paying $700 out of pocket with insurance for a 30 min visit and very simple procedure. It's a shame since the facility is very nice. read more

have never had a worse experience at a doctors office. the PA told me he never had done this particular procedure. he wanted to do a test spot and then if I was pleased I should come back. he told me he likes to do things by the book. I ran out of that place so fast. never ever use this practice - this is your warning. read more

I had an appointment with Advantage Dermatology at their Inwood office due to the offices closest to me being closed due to COVID. Being someone who also work in the medical field in many different areas as the years has gone by I am quite strict about Physicians having good bedside manner. Healthcare provides are aware that patients are coming to them for comfort and care in their time of need, it is the least you can do as a Physician. My visit turned out to be quite horrendous due to the fact that the Assisting Dermatologist seemed like she did not care to be at work on the day in which I visited and on top of that she had to deal with ME. The medical assistant was quite thorough and professional but her Assistant SE on the other hand NOT. As the Physician Assistant Shira Ehrlich entered the room she announced herself and proceeded to examine me while I was still sitting in a guest chair, not on an examination table and I not prepped in a gown to have an examination done. She then proceeded to examine other parts of my affected areas as I pointed them out without asking me to remove my clothing and undergarment so that I can thoroughly be examined she just rolled my tube dress and undergarment down past my stomach. I was appalled by her audacity in that moment that I became speechless. Not for a minute did she stop to realized that her manner was unprofessional to correct it and show some empathy. After the examination I felt violated and uncomfortable. She referred me to a plastic surgeon in the same network and I was told that I had no follow up visits. However, due to my initial experience I did not want to see another Specialist in their network. I made a complaint to my insurance company who advised me to call and make a formal complaint with Advanced Dermatology. The person with whom I spoke was apologetic, my words to her were, "Please do not apologize you did not do anything to me, just fix it, retrain her give her an in service on bedside manners so that other people will not be affected by her funk and have one bad apple spoil the whole bunch". The following week I received a call from the same office wanting to confirm my follow up appt in which I had no clue about because I was told that I had no follow up by the same unprofessional Physicians Asst. Who made that appt then? I guess there are scams happening even in Dr. offices. read more

I never write reviews, but I had such a great experience at my dermatology visit that I thought I would share . As soon as I walked in the door everyone was so welcoming. The office is so clean and beautiful. Melissa Gagliardi is the provider I saw and she made me feel so comfortable, she explained everything in a way that I would understand. I definitely recommend this office to anyone needing to se a dermatologist. read more

I went in for a biopsy which it very nerve racking, but once I came into the friendly atmosphere my nerves were instantly calmed. Melissa explained the procedure before hand and the staff was very friendly. I will most definitely be coming back here! read more

After 13 years of regular dermatology visits and expectations, this was by far my worst. Complete disregard for any questions/actual concerns. Just wanted to write​ me a bunch of prescriptions for something I'm​ pretty sure I​ don't/didn't have. and God forbid you have to take your kid with you to an appointment... I had a 6 month skin check today. I was pleased to know I would be seeing Dr. Perez, as he performed my MOHs surgeries in Feb. and March of 2018 at the San Marco office. He is a knowledgable person and I usually have to wait an hour or so, whether I visit the San Marco office or NB office. So, to prevent an hour wait, I scheduled my appt. for 7:40 am. When I arrived there were 4 people already waiting. It took 1.5 hours of waiting in the lobby, but worse than that was the additional 1.5 hours waiting in a flimsy gown on an uncomfortable table with terribly loud 90's music. The only good thing was the room was warm and I was offered a bottle of water. I finally saw Dr. Perez at 10:45!! He did a thorough skin check and found another spot to be biopsied on my face. I originally saw Dr. Bernhardt but he left a month after I saw him in Jan. 2018. I have a feeling this office won't be around long with this kind of scheduling issues. I am disappointed because it's a lovely office, close to my house and I trust Dr. Perez' expertise. I will give this office one more try but not at 7:40'AM! read more

So, I've never written a review before but my experience was SO horrible I just did not want anyone else to have their time wasted like me. So, when I got there everyone was really nice and it seemed like a nice office and everything was good. There was only one other person in the lobby that went in before me. I waited in the lobby for an hour after filling out paper work, which is annoying, but I'm pretty low-key so I dealt with it. Then they call me in the back room and the nurse asks me some questions and as she is, this other nurse comes barging in without knocking and is asking were something is and then leaves. So my nurse tells me to change into my robe and that the doctor will be in "shortly." I start changing and as I'm naked, the same lady that barged in before, barges in again, has the door wide open and about 3 people get to see me naked. She apologized, but like what the heck? This is some serious HIPA violations here. So then I'm like whatever, because I'm low-key, and I'm sitting and waiting for like 30 minutes. So then I get bored and get my phone out, mind you there are zero magazines in the room so thank God I have my phone and it's alive! Also, while I am waiting I am hearing EVERYTHING that is going on in the rooms next to me (probably another HIPA violation), and there are patients flying in and out. So, I'm pretty sure that they were having patients come in after me and seeing them before me. While I'm continuing to wait, people keep coming in WITHOUT KNOCKING, just sticking their heads in saying "Knock knock," like that is not how you knock people! So these random people that are coming in to get stuff are also telling me "He'll be right in, you're next!" I made a pact with myself that I was going to leave at 11:00, mind you my appointment was at 9:00, so that tells you how low key I am! At 10:50 this guy comes in (without knocking might I add) and said "He'll be in in 1 minute," so I'm like alright dude. Then it hit's 11:00 and I'm like nope not today Satan, and I change out of my robe and tell them I'm leaving. So basically I spent my lovely Thursday morning siting naked on a metal table for an hour and had 3 random people see me naked for no reason, like they should have paid me for that! To rap this all up, I would suggest going to a different dermatologist unless you like waiting and people seeing you naked for free. read more
