The park has some roughly paved parking at the southwest corner. There is also a shelter and playground for families to use. The park has a nature garden which is a haven for pollinators with many colorful flowers in the warmer months. In 2018, a circular labyrinth was made in the stones to offer a place to relax and encourage spiritual development. There isn't a lot to do here, but it is a place that offers a peaceful spot to relax. Review #2174

I came here for a 2-day softball tournament. This is a very nice complex. The complex has a decent…read moreamount of parking, but it is limited and fills up quickly during a tournament. The complex is located in North Vernon City Park. The Complex has four diamonds. All the diamonds have turf infields. A concession stand/restroom facility is in the center of the complex. Please note that the complex is cash-only. Batting cages are available at the back of the facility, just outside the North entrance. The complex has bleachers at each diamond, and good netting is installed to protect from pop-up foul balls. Even with bleachers at each field, there is still ample space for spectators to bring their own chairs. You can also sit behind the outfield fence. This is a small complex, but I like it. It has hosted tournaments with over 25 teams. The complex hosts USSSA tournaments, community leagues, and travel team games. The fields do not have numbers. They are labeled A, B, C, and D. You will find a playground and an aquatic center just outside the gate, so young tag-along siblings have something to keep them entertained for a bit while they spend all day at the fields. Anyway, this is a decent complex for some good baseball/softball. I just wish it had a bit more parking and a few more diamonds. It still worked for my tournament, but more diamonds would have made it go quicker.

The space isn't very big, but it clean and has a very soft/spongy floor that kids can runaround on. Even if they fall, there is enough give to keep the fall from being too painful. Over on the north side are some picnic tables for taking a break or for parents to chill while the kids play. There is also a short fence around the park since it is located on a busy corner. It helps keep the kids inside the park area without the worry of traffic. Great location and theme. If you have little kids, this is a place to check out. Review #3392
