Easily five stars plus. George came in and worked all day of a Saturday. He was careful and paid attention to details. He set a reasonable price and stuck to it even though there we unexpected add ons- much of it cleaning up sloppy work done by previous electricians. He is the type of person that I always hope to find to have do work on our house: honest, straight-forward, careful and reliable. George was simply a pleasure to work with. He designed himself and presented a new layout for the backyard. They demo-ed an old broken wooden deck and installed the new paver including a raised / enclosed patio area with columns and retaining wall, a flat open area, and walkways to the garage/driveway and the same matching pathway up the front of the house to the entrance and front steps. His team was professional, neat, and timely finishing the job with attention to detail and high-quality standards - even going above and beyond to make sure the landscaping looked beautiful for our family event. I will definitely work with him for other improvement projects on our property in the near future. Prior to hiring Jose, I evaluated several contractors, and pricing all being relative, but they did not have the wide portfolio of work and experience that Jose's team has which is evident when you work with them and entrust a project to them. This is important when it comes to the details that make the difference in end result looking polished (borders, spacing, curvature, landscaping, etc.)

When John first came to the house to prepare a quote, he was respectful and direct- he told me what he thought needed done, handled my sticker shock with grace, and explained my options in a way my non-contractor brain could understand. I spoke with a few contractors and he was by far the most reasonably priced as well as most pleasant to work with. Work began on time and John's estimates for the length of time needed to complete the work were accurate. We initially budgeted three months but when a structural issue was found he called me to discuss options. He shared his opinion but did not pressure me to make a specific decision. Once I'd decided, he got to work immediately to get the required permits and architectural plans. The issue added a month to the project and John graciously accommodated that around his other projects. His and Bill's attention to detail was a very pleasant surprise! I've worked with many contractors during my career in real estate and they are by far the most thoughtful. They clean up after a project better than I do! When I labored over a layout decision, John patiently discussed the pros and cons of each option and gave me time to consider while communicating when he needed a decision so as to keep work on track. I was impressed with John and Bill's design taste- they have a great eye!- and pointed out ways to optimize my kitchen and bathroom designs. I was also impressed with the other professionals John recommended and sub contracted with for junk removal, painting, countertops, front door, roofing, and tile work. But the best part of the whole process was the trust and ease with which we collaborated (second only to witnessing the banter between John and Bill... and Bill's clothing choices.) His team was like ghosts, they did not stray from the work/ staging areas and were essentially ghosts - the only signs of their presence was the completed work.
