Unprofessional and unpredictable staff. Each experience will depend on how they feel on a particular day. Highly suggest going elsewhere.

They really have it all here, I wish I lived closer. I'll be back for a tune-up the next time I'm in the area.

I too first started going to Oaktree through purchase of a daily deal. They cannot properly adjust you without first analyzing your condition and setting out a specific plan for you. As such, in your first meeting all this information is gathered including posture analysis and x-rays.This is a very important step in determining you path to healing and correcting your spinal issues. Oaktree's chiropractic program is also very different from others; they specialize in readjusting the spine over a period of time to help it permanently regain it's proper shape. Many chiropractors focus more on adjusting you based on pain, however this is only a temporary fix, whereas Oak Tree's approach is a life changing commitment. If you are truly committed to a better quality of life and your health I truly recommend visiting OakTree. They are incredibly passionate, amazingly friendly and you will feel like a part of the family immediately. I have never had such a positive experience with any other health practitioner and cannot say enough about this place and their amazing team!

Have been going here for a month for Chiropractic care and I feel 100x better than before!…read more It all started at the Women's Show - Oaktree had a booth and offered free assessments with a discounted rate for your first two visits. I got my assessment and decided to visit the clinic (for lack of a better word - its not very clinic feeling) on Lisgar Ave. near Metcalfe. Let me start out by saying that Dr Emilie and her husband Martin are the sweetest people and run the clinic themselves with the help of a few other specialists. Dr Emilie is the Chiropractor and Martin is the Acupuncturist - they live in the house where the clinic is with their three kids which makes the clinic a very comfortable place to be (although they live upstairs and I've never seen their kids, haha) My first visit was for Xrays and a medical questionnaire to ensure that my treatment would be created and tailored to my specific needs. The second visit was a group setting to get an idea of what chiropractic care does for your body. I'm obvs not a specialist, but the premise is that your spine controls everything about you because it houses all of your nerves and such in your spinal cord. She then takes you individually to give you the results of your xrays and then presents you with the course of action she wants to take for your care. Usually 3x/week for the first few months, then 2x/week a month or two, then down to 1x/week for the next few months. You are able to get an assessment right away after she gives you your results during your second visit to kick off the treatment. (definitely do this!) After my assessment, xrays and the results of my xray, and my first alignment, I started my course of treatment given the freaky posture I had (that I really didn't think was so bad, but the back pain I had for the last year prompted me to get xrayed and holy guacamole does the xray ever speak for itself). EXCITING THING HAPPENED TO ME: After my FIRST treatment the back pain that I have been dealing with for the last year and a half was GONE! I obvs didn't think it would last, yes, I've gone to massage therapists and physiotherapists MANY times for the EXACT same issue, and it helped, but was never fixed. But it's been a month, I have been going regularly, I have yet to be in any kind of pain. I am so thrilled with the treatment I've gotten. I am still on my course of treatment and am loving it. The alignment room is right off of the reception and there are two waiting areas; one in the reception room for everyone (chiro and acupuncture clients (and whoever else is in the house)) and one just behind a frosted window from the chiro tables (2). There are always a few people waiting for their alignments, 4 chairs behind the frosted window and 2 people laying on the tables at a time (one being worked on and one relaxing before their alignment..The funniest thing I find about going, is the comments you hear from people getting aligned! I absolutely love it! Some people are quite vocal and obviously REALLY enjoy their adjustments (you will to, don't worry) I've heard funny things from "oh yeah, that's my favourite spot" to "oooohhhhhhh that felt goooood". Read some more below to and definitely check out the website to get more info on what and how they do it. More about the clinic and the doctors: Dr Emilie approaches her treatment with very thoughtful ideals - she can help with not only aligning your spine to reduce pain and tension in your back, but it can also help improve your immune system, it can take pressure off of your nerves which control your bladder even and many more things that I couldn't eve begin to relay given I was so impressed with the thought that chiropractic adjustments can help with bed wetting in kids, haha. She is licensed to treat everyone; men, women and children, from small babies to the elderly, pregnant and otherwise. She is not the only chiropractor in the office though - on Monday's and some sporadic days when Dr Emilie has training or seminars - Dr Vanessa takes care of the adjustments in the clinic. Dr Vanessa is just as wonderful as Dr Emilie and they really try to connect with their clients in the short time you're together. Chiropractic care has specific hours given all of the patients they sees, and the fact that Dr Emilie is inviting her clients into her home, so they will treat people for a few hours mid-late morning (I think 11-:12:30)and mid to late afternoon (3:30-5:30 ish) I'm assuming because most of their clients come from downtown - this lets them come in on their lunch hours and on their way home from work. They are very flexible with timings for appointments - if you're early or late just shoot them an email and they do their best to accommodate, and given that an adjustment only takes about 2 minutes this is easy for them to do!

The staff at OC3 are really friendly and professional. My first visit here was for, what they call an "Integrative Assessment". It sounds fancy, but essentially, you see a chiro and a physic for your problem and they work together on your treatment plan. I had a few sessions with the chiro to work on my back, and then worked with the physio for my shoulder basically my body was broken after I had my son). Since then, I have done their Post-partum Yoga class (with Shelagh) and go on a regular basis to see Shelagh for physio on my back, shoulder and for acupuncture (omg, the most amazing results!). I wasn't able to move my shoulder for 6 months after a volleyball injury and after 1 session of acupuncture, it was 90% cured! I swear by it now. I will be booking for massage there too and would love to try their one on one pilates sessions. So many services offered under one roof. I love it! PS- they have parking, but it's on the side of the house. They have about 4 spots and for the most part I never have trouble finding one. Lots of 1 hr street parking around too. The pats don't last more than 30 min, so you should be ok, unless you get a really long massage. They accept only debit, cash or cheque too, so have the money ready!
